I'm doing this massive project digitizing every single one of my 1800 (and counting) vinyl record collection for hi-res streaming, because I'm not happy about the streaming services out there for various reasons. My records are organized by genre and alphabetical and I am digitizing them as they are in the record cabinet. Which is very educative. Turns out I can stand many Uriah Heep records in a row, but I cannot handle many Deep Purple records in a row, I'd have expected it to be the other way around. I also found out that Moving Waves by Focus is actually a really good album, despite being weirdly Dutch. 
Anyway, sometimes there's records in a collection that you just have for 'completeness' sake, and for me Elton John is one of those artists that fits the category. I am now at the Pop - J section and I just finished listening to Blue Moves and Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road. All that's left now is the Nikita 12" and there's no denying that, even though I can't remember the last time I played that record, Nikita is just a brilliantly written song. I also think that Elton choosing for a 'unisex' name for this song is just a genius move.

Fire Emblem Fates - End of All (Below)

Revelation Endgame Theme

 

Just finished Fire Emblem: Fates, Revelation route. Mm, I didn't enjoy it as much as I did for Awakening. Found the plot and written dialogues to be terribly clichéd. Cutscenes still gave me bad goosebumps, even though I've gone JP voice dubs.

 

Soleil and Azura are probably the only parts of Fates that I enjoyed. Azura because of her refreshing levelheadedness, Soleil because she's my spirit animal (read: mega gae and thirsty).

 

Gonna go fire up Fire Emblem: Awakening now, I've an awful hankering for it.

There was a 2hr Program on the TV yesterday night, we watched together and she was really excited as you had to guess the Top ten anime songs of all time.

 

Funny like the songs of some of the same amines I was following when I was a kid/teenarger back home in France  were quite different obviously in lyrics but also melody.

 

I think she was impressed with her Dad remembering them from 30+yrs ago
