LTT Official Folding Month 2020!!!

Go to solution Solved by GOTSpectrum,

Luckily when I said it was almost done, I really meant it.

For the last time in 2020, ladles and gentlespoons, here a blog post.

And with that said, it's a wrap! Thank you for everyone getting involved, if you'd like to continue talking about folding why not head over to The Folding Community Board

Personally I would forfeit all tech if I could live on my own boat traveling. More specifically one of these bad boys:

@TVwazhere dont think i dont see you slowly ramping up behing me im on to you...

Fun fact I'm not doing anything different.

Though I am still occasionally gaming on the 1080ti but the game is pretty light (Divinity: Original Sin 2, capped @60fps) so it doesnt seem to affect PPD too much. At this point the fluctuation in points between 4.4-5.1m PPD is down to which WU's I get. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bruh, you live in West Virginia, don't you?  Measure temps in cow pies per hay bale like any decent red blooded Virginian.  (Speaking as an East Virginian, the system of measurement has proven frighteningly accurate)

It's when Den-Fi can turn down his systems and go back to his normal 10M-12M point a day. We don't want him stressing his system for no reason do ?

All for it if it gets us out of the current 2020 situation faster :) Only reason I shut mine down last time is because I had other things I needed to get done where as @Den-Fi likely has no productive use for most of their stuff.

That's.... an interesting assumption lol.

If that were true, I'd be doing this much PPD all year.

I have dedicated folding hardware, yes. If you want to call that "no productive use" then what is anyone folding for?

When I mean productive I meant money making reasons. I too (once I get back to work) will be building a folding farm 🙊 yet beyond that have no use for said stuff.

As to why you don't do it all year if not meant for money making, well you could mine cryptocurrencies to produce some income, or shut down due to energy bill costs, since each card can take 200+ watts of power.

Imagine if LTT created a folding farm, they'd put everyone here to shame 🤣

Most of my non-folding machines were built to either directly generate, or go towards the purpose of generating income one way or another.

The only machine that that wasn't is Lucid Visions which was a sponsored build, so out of pocket cost wasn't a thing.

Ah got yea, around these here parts you could have easily been one of the many people who hold onto stuff or have stuff from crypto heydays and just toss them on whenever time comes for such events.

I only played with it myself, had the chance to of bought bitcoin at $5 a piece vs mining it, should have jumped onto that, oh well.

I have 3,000 dogecoin in hopes for another stupid spike like in 2018 lol. Beyond that I might have some coins in Nicehash but nothing special.

Yup, UE49KS7580 here :)

The feet on the sides were a reason for the choice, that way I could 3D print replacements to sit it lower on my desk.
