No, at least, not for us. It would be like trying to figure out how many GPU's or clients someone who's folding via cloud services has. The F@H team probably could tell you how many devices are currently actively requesting and folding WU's. I'd imagine the number is pretty high, as these are likely users who either do not have purpose built gaming PC's, did not fully register a passkey, or either did not understand or do not care about teams and individual stats.

The log files from the FAH folder has it all in, could use that no?

That is client local, we can't because FAH stats server does not provide that information. The only information in the data files is 'folding name, total score, total WUs, team' so as you can see very limited.

I'd have to listen to the fireside chat zoom meeting again but it's actually difficult for them to tell exactly. When you install the client it generates a new client ID that is sent with completed WU and they noticed a lot of those client IDs changing when they pretty much knew it was the same person so they couldn't use that to tally total active people or computers.

There was something like a million unique IP addresses but a lot of people tie back to multiple different IPs so can't use that either.

The best they could get to was to total the number of hours of work competed in an hour which came to something like 470,000 hours per hour. The big thing is they know there was/is a lot of idle clients not able to get WUs so estimated to be around double or triple what it is potentially. Currently every hour 85,000 WUs are handed out and returned with a current projected capability of 200,000 but the bottleneck is actually humans, to generate the start points for the simulations, so servers is not the issue, not really anyway.

Well, now I qualify as an Event Newbie (not, stupid brain), and I am requesting that badge, please.  After giving my rig a rest I'll get to some more folding, and maybe another badge.

How and to where? Like for a lot of people they have multiple systems or they change hardware configurations during the event so FAH needs to handle that not us.

I was surprised, the 2060m was averaging higher points per wu than the 5700xt..

I would see ~87k jobs on the 5700xt while the 2060 would consistently get 150k..I'll have to look into that..

I believe that is because any wu's with over 2 million atoms are disabled on AMD gpus until fixed as they had an issue where they could never finish the wu.

Thank you @GOTSpectrum for an amazing event. This is my first, but I'll remember to check for new ones in the future! Maybe then I'll stick to a 100% homegrown farm. Eh. folding farm.

Unless it comes from FAH through their official stats it won't get used, without verification and authenticity of the information it can't be used. FAH does not allow script access to any of their stats pages and API/APPs pages and they will blacklist you if they detect it. The only officially supported way to get information from FAH is those data files which only has in it what I outlined so that is all we can use.
