Then I need to assemble the system but that's easy. I should get a better PSU in the near future though and I'd like to figure out some kind of easy at a glance status indicator for the GPU to show me it's doing work. Going to be running Xubuntu Linux for long term stability, as long as it'll all fit on the 16GB SSD, and 4GB of spare RAM, all on an Asus H97 mATX board in a case which I think would allow me to fit a second GPU. PSU I currently plan to use if a 350W Seasonic and is bottom of the barrel, I have to use a Molex to PCIe to power the card currently, rest of the system should be so light on power (50W or less) that I'll have no problem powering the single P106 without over-taxing the PSU. Hardest part is going to be tuning the CPU wattage down and hoping the G1820 I've got is enough processor to keep the GPU happily fed and that it still works because it's one I de-lidded to see what's going on under there since it was the lowest cheapest CPU I had. If it still works it'll run really freaking cool with Kryonaut paste in place of the Intel TIM. May even be able to use the Arctic passive heatsink on it! The less moving parts to fail the better, may even see if I can make the P106 truly passive for sake of only having one fan in the system to go bad. Also this will be a great excuse to finally run an ethernet cable to that corner of the basement and learn how to remote access/manage a Linux system from my other PC's in the house!

But mostly, make sure you thank yourselves, because without you lot this wouldn't have been anywhere near as fun, mostly because it would just be my drunken self shouting at FOLDATRON to go faster!

I have a couple of doubts about how teams points works for BOINC, I change my team over Roseta@home to LTT but I dont know how points are taking in consideration there. Also, LTT is only in some BOINC projects?

Did 2 WUs this morning, but this afternoon I have to do some work with VMs and it seems VirtualBox machines are heavily GPU-accelerated becasue when folding they're unbearably slow...

As far as i know they have a team most projects, @Ithanul is the one to PM if you are stuck when it comes to BOINC. I believe they are are called LinusTechTips_Team over there.

you dont show on their list at least as justpoet you may have used another name like my very first dip into folding i used chrisco yes its very little forgive my g3 imac lol it gave its hear and soul for the mission...once i got a G4 though i changed to cbigfoot...

Top 1000 is nice I'm happy with my little machine and really happy that this many people went all in for the 2 week!

I'll keep folding in the upcoming months before it gets too damn hot in here. 

From yesterday afternoon I started using my free gcloud p100 so that'll give us a boots for a few days.

I haven't been using my desktop PC much so it's been going hard at it, my old desktop is going at it full bore, and the P106 will be the 24x7 dedicated folder in the basement when it's assembled. Not sure how much this jumped my power bill but I've been spending less otherwise so I'm sure it's fine. Everything's fine. Yep yep yep!

LTT has Dropped to about half the folding power since the event ended. Its possible that there is stat issues again. but you can tell it dropped. I think we should start another event in like a week and only run for a week this time. take a break again and repeat.

You're not really correct here...

Ignore the 10 billion and 8 Billion as these were stat corrections.

 

 

And the last 24 hours as of last update, 

 

 

We will see a production drop, that is normal, but yeah, not seeing a 50% decrease as you are indicating...

i was just looking at the hourly production since the event ended yesterday night. just my observation. i would certainly hope we are being at least 75% as productive as the event was.

Honestly we will see a major drop in the next 48 hours with our average production laying some decent amount ahead of the average before the event, this will then slowly drop off over the coming weeks we the heat gets to people as summer rolls, in then, it will be time for BOINC Pentathlon which will see another dip.
