Are people still having difficulty getting WUs?

Neither of my boxes is able to get one.

Do you have the client-type set to advanced?  That fixed it for me.

I am sooo glad to hear that everybody is having issues with EOC. I took a chance and snuck away in my parents vacation house for the weekend, with my gf and daughter. However I kinda "forgot" to turn off my custom cooled gaming rig. So just observing several 0 pts updates on EOC made me seriously worried that good ole Black Betty had sprung a leak 😅

One of my GPU's is unable to, the other GPU has been totally fine and my CPU has needed some attention every couple of WU's. Pausing and re-enabling the slot has fixed it

EDIT: setting client type to advanced got my lazy GPU a WU.

Running 24x7 high priority, only pausing to play a bit of Doom Eternity in the evenings....system shows zero slow down for surfing, youtube, news, email and general use even on high priority.

Quick question, I also have a 6 core laptop with a 9750H and a 2070 Max Q.  What is the harm on a laptop in having it run 24x7 with the fans blasting (I assume shortened lifespan but by how much)?

Just takes time.  If you are on wi-fi make sure you are connected.  Otherwise ignore it and it will get WUs eventually.

My CPU has been ok, but my GPU hasn't been able to pick one up since early yesterday. I'm going to add the advanced setting also, worth a shot.

setting the client-type advanced works great for me. also changed the next-unit-percentage to 95 to download a new wu just before the wu finishes.

Looks like it's worked, finally picked up one for the GPU. I'll change that setting too, thanks for the suggestion.

You should try a little higher the lower the number the longer the WU sits waiting and the less points you get. I've had it set at 98 and that's been working fine for me.

If it's a factory OC you may need to dial it back some, my Vega was stable except folding. I had to dial back the memory and core a little bit for best balance of stability, power use, and compute power.

Am i the only one who's having really slow upload speed toward fah servers? I mean i have 20mbps in upload but just uploading 15 mb takes like 5 minutes. If you are wondering, my connection is working well, i'm getting at least 19mbps on upload speed on the speedtest.

Assuming you didn't oc anything, I would assume only the fans would see any actual wear and tear. All the NVIDIA and Intel protection mechanisms should keep the GPU/CPU safe. According to Google, a typical fan is rated for something like ~50k hours. So in this context with 24/7 folding for 2 weeks to a month time, would be less than 0,1% of the fans rated lifetime... That being said, the noise would be very irritating in a very short while...

It depends on the F@H server load, I have had some taking 45 min to upload, and that is without loosing connection and having to start a new uppload.

Oh ok, at least i am not the only one. It's quite frustrating cause in the meantime, i'm losing points.

Hi Guys,

I put up a table comparing the folding teams by the amount the members earned Points per WU. Assuming that you get larger work units  depending on the coputational performance of your components, the team with most points calculated down to a single WU has the most OP Equipment

I know, it is not as easy as this, but what the f**** is running in the Basement of TreidonMusicGroup?
