I don't care what people do to/with themselves on their own time in their own home.  It is annoying when they have the huge odor from it, but no more so than cigarette smoke…though both in heavy doses will make me cough and gag from the smell as well.

 

That being said, what REALLY bothers me is when I'm driving down the road and it is so strong from the car ahead of me that I have to pull over or floor it to pass them if I want to be able to breathe.  Not just because of the stench, but because that means they're driving impaired.

so true, it smells horrible. and now bus smells horrible.

Not necessarily I've actually had a car pull up to me asking if was looking to buy (how I said it to co-workers killed them in laughter) it stunk but neither of the 2 actually had any intoxication features from smoking anything, if you really want to teach them a lesson notify the cops with the plates because there are legal limitations on how much you can carry at any given time, and cops still can get search warrants if they suspect you to be hauling. The fact you can smell it from your car means they could be hauling far more, or are genuinely intoxicated, in either case I'd still notify the cops.

 

The interesting thing is if you only carry personal amounts on your body you shouldn't stink up a car to that point, nor should you gag a 60 foot long bus so anyone with such a strong smell is likely breaking at least that law, either that or consumed so much of it it's a miracle they could even walk let alone drive. Truth be told the only ones to be blamed for all this mess is actually the gov because either they are buying the legal stuff and selling it at a premium or they are carrying illegal street ones because of limited supply.

 

I support decriminalization but equally we need the gov to get their ass in gear to get the supply needed for the demand at a price the demands willing to pay.

@Egg-RollHaha he's since fallen asleep and rolled off. @TensorVortexThat top card is in the top PCIe slot actually. The usb cable from the cooler is actually sandwiched in between the card and the cooler.

Not looking forward to but I will have to at some point. The CPU cooler has the fan facing the wrong way. Something CoolerMaster did by default... for some unknown reason!

Anyone using unraid docker for folding at home. I first started folding at home last year and there was no docker so i just ran a vm. I tried the new docker and I could see it was running but I could not enter the web ui to enter my user and team.  I'm sure this has been talked about so please let me know of a link to get this working. Windows server is taking up at least 2% so any advise would be appreciated. ha and thanks

I use unRAID.

 

From what I can tell, the docker container is difficult to get working with GPUs. I just run an Arch Linux VM and pass through a 1060 and 4 cores for folding. I would recommend making a Pop!OS or manjaro or Ubuntu VM and doing something similar.

Could someone explain to me how I can have 3 digit point updates with a 2070 folding and 2 cloud servers from google (12 cores)..

 

something isn’t adding up

During the mini Summer folding event I had 8 Nvidia P4's I was using, that server has been returned sadly. P4's are only between GTX 1060 and GTX 1070 folding performance wise, but there was 8 so ?.

Won't actually be much, 4-5m PPD at a guess. Need to figure out the cli command to get estimate PPD and/or get remote web control going.

bought some new stuff for my computer today but there's so many cables now that I'll either have to stop bothering trying to put the back panel on anymore or buy a new case lol, such a difficult life

My computer is all over the palce at the moment, side and front panel off

 

will sort it out once folding month is finished.

 

will need to as the fans are sucking in a ton of dust lol
