Top 150!

I'm thinking about getting out my old GTX 960. My GTX 1070 PC has a EVGA SuperNOVA G2 750 power supply, so I'm quite sure it could easily handle the extra GTX 960.

I run a intel HEDT, 2080TI and a 2060 on that same PSU. so No problem

Just had Windows restart itself for an update. When it rebooted and I opened F@H client it had added the CPU slot back and reset my identity to Default. No idea why that happened, but if you get any Windows updates make sure you check that Folding@Home is still set to your identity and passkey.

I've been holding off on my windows update so will have to keep an eye out

Could someone explain to me how I can have 3 digit point updates with a 2070 folding and 2 cloud servers from google (12 cores)..

something isn’t adding up

There are a couple things to make sure are correct. The really important one is the passkey. If you don't have the passkey or it is incorrect then you won't be getting any bonus points for the WU you submit, which makes up a big chunk of points.

I do a few other things like mess with the power options, unlock the Nvidia P2 state, monitor the machines using HFM.net to keep an eye on the failed WU count.

I would check all the things to make sure everything is working right.

If you use Windows 10 pro you can defer updates for a while past the event. That's what I've been doing. Pfft, who needs updates.

You have a guide for the HFM.net app? could never get it working and as I am using F@H client + google cloud + in a few days cherry servers would be nice to ttrack it all in one app.

Last time I chcked my Nvidia card ahs been running P2 state all this month. Passkey/identity is correct.

I don't have a guide unfortunately. I just googled around and used trial and error when setting mine up. I can tell you one thing that I learned, whenever you make changes to the config file for your folding client to allow remote monitoring, make sure you restart the client after you make the changes. I spent a couple hours troubleshooting one machine one day and the problem was that I just hadn't restarted the client to reload the config file.

If I had to guess, I'd start by looking for either failed WUs where you only got partial credit or the config of the google cloud client. Those are the only reasons I can think that you'd earn in the hundreds of points instead of 0.

Does anyone with the 2080ti's see their estimated PPD spike up this high on certain WU's? I'm occasionally seeing over 3m ePPD and just wondering if that's normal. Seems kinda high.

The latest windows update seems to have fixed my boost frequency issue, so I'm happy. Card now stays on boost irrespective of what programs I have running ?

Meanwhile...

I'm guessing all the updates I've had to do since then where security updates or failed attempts ? Still a pain in the ass compared to how Linux does it... Windows needs to grow up.

Edit: according to Wikipedia my version is supported till November 12, 2019, does that mean windows would automatically refuse to update anymore? If so then...

Ugh, second time coming back to the computer after not being home all day and finding it not doing anything. It's just sitting there at 'Ready' status. Any ideas?

I must say, this folding marathon has been a great way to check for long term stability of my overclock. Sure, it's not as intense as prime 95, but 8+ days of mostly 24/7 folding is a pretty decent stress test.

Nooooooooo! I hadn't been looking closely since the download bug went away for me a few days ago and more than half my cards have just been sitting idle since this morning.
