After the event I will probably switch foldatron to BOINC, most likely PRIMEgrid although I don't know if anything is better for green team cards.

Even better news was if they did have email if the server was down or there was a local network issue it was likely they couldn't get to it anyways. lol.

Yeah I'm with you there since I am now a folding legend I need to get rid of this bronze boinc one. Also the pentathlon this spring will be huge.

Actually I'm wondering if there are any good boinc projects for cpu at this point since I do have some power to spare there.

 

Also thinking about selling off the 670 and 2 970s to see if that would be enough to pick up a 2060 or something.

There are quite a few decent CPU projects in BOINC, OpenZIKA being one I know of

I’ve been running World Community Grid on the spare threads on my CPUs while the GPUs fold. It’s part of BOINC but they have ther’re Own client which I don’t recommend using.

 

You have to make sure you leave enough threads for folding so you do have to fiddle a bit

I’m running all the CPU projects, Smash Childhood Cancer, Fight AIDS, OpenZika, TB, Mapping Cancer Markers. It’s not as much about which is the best points but they are all worthwhile projects.

 

I’ve been doing Gravitational Wave searches at Einstein@Home as I couldn’t find a good GPU project while burning in the new cards.

I was down to 16C room temperature yesterday with 2 gpus running. Had to sleep in 2 pairs of socks and an additional layer of blankets.

18 degrees right now, I've turned up the central heating unit and almost fully closed the window. Still too cold.

the flat was empty this summer, I had 2 cards folding for 3 days straight with no open window, but door open to the room. air inside the room (with all the floor fans blasting, including one trying to move air out of the room and another to circulate it inside) was at about 5-7 degrees higher than just outside the door to my room. 35C in though.

remove the slot, it will add the WU to another card, add the slot back, it will download new WU. not swapping, but editing the queue like this is possible.
