1TB MicroSD card is here

GoodBytes

SanDisk introduces the world first 1TB microSD

Extreme_microSD_1TB_HR.jpg.050220f6f0daeaa93d1c2e4c3bf255a0.jpg

As the picture indicates, the SD card is of type U3 A2 XC I V30 (god... what a mess), able to achieve 160MB/s read speed and 95MB/s write speed.

The memory card will sale for only $449.99 US

Quote

Of the two cards, Western Digital is claiming a performance advantage by citing up to 160MB/s read speed versus 100MB/s for Micron’s. The Micron card’s max write performance is 5MB/s faster at up to 95MB/s, however.

Are those read/write speeds achievable with regular use? My micro SD card never came close to the advertised speeds.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

Just drive a pickup with a two ton tape library and a generator in the bed. 4 minute seek times are nothing when you have 300PB of storage!
