Not really, im not much of a cable guy. Im definitely considering another one though since the stock cable is already fraying (and these are pm my end game)

Wait, you already have the HEX? Love to see a fellow forum member's pics of that badboy! Meanwhile, will keep my eyes peeled for a good 3rd party cable, will let you know if I find one that's reasonably priced (for TOTL end game cans anyway).

@ShadowCaptain Carbide 88r. Put in a 1,5 cola for size compare. Certainly so small, gonna sit on the desk. Front filters are useless otherwise it's so-so quality.

Not much space for that atx cable and front IO cables are about a mile too long for what they need to be.

Thanks. My motherboard actually has some blue accents, though the RAM sticks are more cyan. The red DCU2 cooler shroud ruins it anyway. xD

Spoiler

At least I'm glad I didn't get Corsair Vengeance RAM as I wouldn't have been able to install the cooler without blocking one of the RAM slots. :D

Oh okay, then the RAM choice makes sense. Back when I bought mine I just went for "WOW THAT'S CHEAP COMPARED TO THE BLACK DIMS!", I regret it ever since because nothing else is blue in my system. But then again I have Noctua fans which go with nothing aesthetically (if you are generous maybe with the brownish PCB of my Z77Pro3).

Decided that I can wait till later to upgrade the cable for my HEK, so I went and got a pair of KRK Rokit5 to use as my go  'go to' speakers for music (mostly}, some gaming and movies. Also bought a Deepcool monitor stand, like that I can slip my other keyboard below it, more desk space is always good!

a friend of mine has those exact same speakers! i was really impressed by the sound they produce. would you say they are worth the price?

Too early to say, I'd barely just set up the speakers before snapping a pic of them. So far, I like what I'm hearing, it isn't 'better' per se compared to the Focal XS Book I had, but it certainly has a nice mid bass slam, the XS Book lack this.....though it is on a whole, a very good pair of speakers. There's a HF adjustment knob at the back of the Rokit5, I'd turned it down one step from factory preset because, while I like treble on cans, I find it annoying through speakers.

An issue cropped up, I don't know if it's the uDAC-3 that's causing it, but I do hear a sort of humming, more like soft platter of raindrops when the speakers are turned on, this distortion gets worse when I play games. I'll get back my Oppo HA-1 on Monday, will use a pair of Blanaced XLR cables and see if this issue goes away.....

I had about two dollars left on G2A so I purchased DLC for Alien: Isolation while I could. It was "Crew Expendable" and "Last Survivor". :)

Replacing CyberDemon with another budget laptop. Cyber has an i5-3360m and a 7570m.  The A10 is slower, but the dual M260s(M260DX) is a better GPU solution than a 7570m.

PSN is also having a sale.
