Finally retiring my 125cc after riding it for ten years. Really wanted to get a Yamaha XSR 700, but the seat is a tad higher than I'd like and I didn't want to fuss with lowering the whole bike, so I went for the next best thing: an MT-07 (same engine / frame, slightly different ergonomics). Really dig the overall look but will probably replace the headlight with a properly 'round' bucket :D Documents are on their way so I guess I can pick it up in ~ a week once I got my plates. Until then, stock photo has to do:

i would of save up for the xsr 700 that bike looks great, but what i really wanted is the kawasaki 900rs, but because of how our law works even though i have a full car license and my motorcycle license is migrated to it, im still under restriction till 2021(limited to 660cc) since im a new rider (got it on april last year done 12000km ) makes sense but dam 3 yrs. Soo means im not allowed to use the kawasaki 900rs :(

PS: the dealer should lower sits for you at least over here they will, if there is an options for it

Thats rough. Though I kinda like the 'tiered' motorcycle licenses many countries have - it at least somewhat reduces the number of idiots who get a liter bike as a beginner and ruin the image of the whole motorcycle community... (no offense, most people act their age).

I also had a look at the Z900RS and rode a CB650RS, but those inline fours are just not for me... And I wanted to stay at ~75hp.

I know that I could have got a dealer to lower the seat for me or install a lowering kit. But the seat is already slim when stock and I'm not a big fan of fussing with the geometry of a bike. And first and foremost, I had a test ride and it.... simply didn't feel right. Hence my decision for the MT07.

Whats your current ride? Even if restricted to <660cc, many of them are plenty fast.

A few decades ago, here in the SSA, we had problems with people on Vespa type scooters and mopeds hogging the roads like they thought they were riding a Hog. It's been a while since I've seen the problem so I'm guessing the Gendarmes cracked down on it.

Now, however, we have problems with those new park them anywhere rental scooters getting in the way, both when in use and when parked (more like abandoned). The city I live in recently got fed up with them and banned them.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Those crowds of scooters are more present in France, Italy and Spain, less in Germany. We just have plenty of Darwin award nominees wrapping themselves around trees and such^^

I read about those eScooters and the pain in the butt they have been for SanFran and LA. Over here, we only had a similar issue with free floating bicycles for rent that were parked / trashed all over the place. However, those scooters will become legal over here in a few weeks, so we will see if history repeats itself :D

IMO, most of these 'last mile' solutions are pretty unnecessary. I like those bikes for those days where you missed a bus at 2 in the morning. But honestly, most of the time, said 'last mile' is more like 800m and well, the last time I checked most people still had feet :P Walking five minutes usually doesn't hurt that much.

Just bought one of these for A$29.  I only want the shock mount for another mic, but it will be fun to see how it sounds if I ever plug it in.

My old Luxman K-250 decided to develope playback and speed issues, so I had to pick up a new (old) cassette deck.

IMG_2050.thumb.JPG.203d3114bbddee4482b69c2b323982df.JPG

It's a Sansui D-770R if anyone's curious. It's a pretty nice deck from the early 80's. Nothing groundbreaking, but nicer than the decks being released today.

I might still repair the old Luxman, but it's proving to be quite the task.
