Fucking hell, these prices actually hurt...

You know, back when I put my little shitposting station together, one 8GB stick of Kingston Value RAM DDR4-2133 was sold for about 35 €. You can't find that RAM anymore, but a year later even that low-end RAM was sold for double the amount I originally got it for.

I deal in shitposts and shitpost accessories.

One of the greatest sounding OG UK pressings I've heard. It's crystal clear if for a few minor scratches in the opening track.

My Bose QC 35 II headphones arrived today :)

I know some audiophile types could have some negative things to say about them but after watching a lot of online reviews i settled on these because they were so often voted as the most comfortable and that was my number one priority, my ears aren't particularly sophisticated so i was happy with mid level audio performance because i probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference lol

More like my friend's purchase for me.

I think he owed me a pint or something, i'm not shure, but he told me this cooler (Xigmatek Dark Knight II) was for sale and he was going to order one for him and one for me if i wanted, i'm a sucker for air coolers so i couldn't turn the offer down!

Sad but true. Makes me sad because I finally want to get off the G3258, but I'll need more threads than an i5 has to offer, but the i7/Xeon parts are double the price of 3770s, which is retarded. Kinda makes me wish I would have bitten the bullet and had my mom get me a low-pro 1050ti when those were still properly priced and then upgraded my Dell...

I got the motivation to take my laptop apart and swap out the 1TB drive for a 500GB drive so I can have more space on my desktop, but I couldn't find my 8GB flash drive with Windows Install media so I got one of these for $10.19 at Target... It's a USB 3 flash drive, 32GB. Tbh pretty good deal since the same brand but 16GB and USB 2 I believe was $9.99 20180208_154549.jpg

the tri-x cooler on these cards has a design flaw where fans start rattling after some time.

Needless to say , it happened on mine , so i tried to pull a linus and zip tie 120mm fans to it . It worked well enough until i noticed one card started running at over 90C . I smelled burning electronics , so i shut the pc off. Put the original cooler on , but the card wouldn't post.

If that wasn't enough to kill it , i went poking around with a multi-meter and accidentally shorted 2 pins on the pcie 8 pin , causing it to spark , so...

Totally forgot about this thread.

I have gotten a few new things :D

The Ultimate Ear Reference Monitors came, so did the musician earplugs with -18dB filters. I have also bought a set of Genelec 8040 and a Meier Audio Corda StageDAC, plus some engineering books though I don't think anyone is interested in seeing those. The audio gear sounds absolutely fantastic, I don't regret buying any of it.

It has certainly been a rough period for my wallet :D
