i hear ya.  your sitting here laying down huge numbers sweating like mad because its like the fire of the sun in your house and your min maxing everything like some sort of mad rocket scientist and macaw casually triples your PPD from his air conditioned seat while feeling all fine and dandy.

I'm up and running again. Only 150-180k PPD, but hey, every little bit helps :)

 

I've switched to 5.7.10 kernel because the latest 5.8.whatever was having some panics when running full tilt (Arch moment). I'm also noticing only around 40k points this morning but iirc sometimes the WU just gives lower PPD or whatever, so I'm not too worried. I tried running it on my server but it's far too loud and without being able to connect to the web console and see how many PPD I'm getting, I'm unsure whether it's worth it to use.

I wonder how the new RTX 3000 cards are going to do on PPD

the amount of CUDA cores is interesting

might get the 3070 it has twice as many cuds cores then my 2070 super

3080 (or 90, can't remember) is twice as fast as the 2080 Super. I'd expect this to do at least 4M PPD.

on paper the 3070 is the faster then the 2080 ti aswell so will be very interesting
