LTT Official Folding Month 2019!!!

Go to solution Solved by GOTSpectrum,

Alright guys, the time for locking this thread has come, can you all please use the Folding Community Board for all further talk.

Thank you all again for participating in the event.

Once the sheet is cleaned up I will edit this post to add the link to the spreadsheet.

@TVwazhere Can you please lock this thread for me.

I still haven't had this download bug you guys are talking about. I just keep getting 14180 WU's.

I have now installed HFM.Net to monitor which WU's i get the most.

I've had my rig up 24/7 now. Also got a junky laptop doing some folding too although it doesn't do all that much. Can still game to a certain extent. Been playing the og Diablo which isn't demanding in the slightest so I've still been able to entertain myself.

This WU isn’t necessarily always download bug, on some gpu’s - especially the newer RTxX cards this wu can take very long to complete (something to do with high amount of shaders and low atom account for the wu I believe) and this makes your PPD/ production drop for the day

That is usually the stick downloading bug. Check you logs and if it shows it completing one WU then starting and never finishing a download then a rebbot should fix it

My CPU is having this issue as well. Rebooted the computer but it didn't make a difference, it is just stuck on Ready. Graphics card is working on WUs just fine though. It enabled the CPU folding slot but didn't give it anything to work with.

Just passed 30 million. Also turns out, according to HWiNFO, that two 1080Tis and an 8700K running at full power results in a total system draw of less than 550W.

Not too bad of a difference bare metal vs VM, but if I'm reading that correctly both are doing 3m PPD each? That's kind of insane for just CPU and 2 servers

Why is the virtual machine scoring 5% more points than native Linux? Shouldn't running natively give the best performance? Or do you have the images around the wrong way? :S

Edit:

248 CPU cores so far, another 200 ish I'll get going tonight/tomorrow.

Let me know how it goes if you play around with the "big work unit" flag to try and get better optimized wus for many cpu cores.
