My system just did a loop of failed attempts till I lowered it to 150 in afterburner  Upload seemed to have halted and a reload of the program seems to have fixed that.

 

Mines set to Cancer and all I have are 11714.

Oooooo my bois seem to be behaving quite well now: 


1660 Ti is currently running at around 2010Mhz on the core (has a +70 in MSI AB, +150 on the VRAM but that just sits at 1500Mhz anyways, I assume F@H doesn't push it much?), 1050 Ti is doing around 1898 or so on the core. Hopefully they'll continue behaving for like a week or two so I can see a proper 24hr average.

Given server problems and I'm taking part in a different challenge elsewhere, I've decided to stop folding for the duration unless the download bug is confirmed fixed.

F@H uses very little VRAM, less than a few hundred Megabytes and even then doesn’t appear to access it that often so on NVidia it’s unlikely you’ll see much of a boost Overclocking memory, in fact, if it’s pushed too far it will start slowing things down as it can detect some errors and do a retry and if that happens enough it will negatively impact performance.

 

A few folk have reported performance gains on Vega but I don’t have any of those to test.

What sort of PPD is your 1660 Ti getting? I'm getting between 530 and 650K on mine at a non-OC'd 1950 MHz, averaging about 550K per day which feels kinda low tbh, but perhaps it's just the WU's I'm getting.

Yeah my 1660 ti is kind of sucking these days with the thin pickin's with WUs. Strangely enough the 1060s are still doing OK, not great but not as much of a hit as the 1660 ti

Kinda wishing I'd shelled out the extra $$ for the 2060 now. Still contemplating adding a 2060 to my system before year's end.

Realised what I wrote could be ambiguous. I'm only not folding while the other event is on (5 days duration from previous post), not for the duration of the folding month. Will still aim for days active overall. I'll be back but I'm not going to fight to keep it running while systems have other work to do. The other challenge is CPU only, really nice to have a cooler house running those. Even my 7920X system is using less power than a single 1080Ti...

 

I'm not a big fan of boinc, but the folding client makes it look good.
