My thoughts
I think it was pretty intentional they were trying to game the system and trick people in to thinking the reviews were positive. Steam reviews do impact customers purchasing decisions and I personally would be more inclined to buy a game that had a positive rating. The way Steam displays the recent reviews & all reviews looks very similar to the developer and publisher and I think that's something they tried to take advantage of.
 
Was anyone actually deceived in to thinking it was a better game and bought it as a result? Who knows, probably not. Nothing really noteworthy here but I just thought it was a quirky situation and a rather interesting reason for a developer to be banned from Steam. I guess Valve really do take developers attempting to manipulate ratings seriously.

Well it's working for RDNA2 with it's on-die cache along with GDDR6. Really depends on what is actually being proposed and planned, this patient is super broad and AMD already has similar patient and products in the market that use them, not sure how that affects each others patient though. Last thing we need is these two companies getting in to a patient war with each other.
 
If Apple wants much bigger SoCs, either or both CPU and GPU wise, they are going to need much higher bandwidth to support it and memory types like HBM and GDDR have rather bad latency so you wouldn't actually want only these as it'll affect CPU performance. The larger the memory chip, capacity wise, the higher the access latency and the same is also generally true of higher bandwidth wider memory bus memory too.
 
It's really not so bad of an idea, but that swings many ways and execution of this will entirely make it good or bad.

I've been a type one since the age of 1.  I'm... a lot older than that, now.  In 7th grade (long before most of you were even born .. 😉 ) I "invented" a watch to help measure my blood sugar.  At the time, I had no clue how to build it.  But if this comes to pass, I'm totally claiming credit for the idea.  😄
 
Kidding aside, I may actually break down and buy an Apple Watch if they're successful with this.  While I'm certain it won't completely replace finger sticking, it will help a diabetic watch trends throughout the day assuming it's accurate enough.  That will be a huge help.
 
Hopefully I can successfully wear that expensive watch without destroying it like I have most of the other watches I've owned.

Totally agree. Subscription based services for something that is constantly being updated and developed and you receive those updates as part of the service makes sense. That is completely different than a system where you have to pay a subscription to a static feature that never changes. 

I don't see a problem with the subscription model as a way of reducing the barrier to entry for advanced features that are constantly under development. I do, however, have an issue with BMW's approach to making heated seats, Apple CarPlay, and AWD systems subscription based when they're not adding any value whatsoever overtime and the significant costs are already included in the vehicle (unless the vehicle is discounted to reflect the fact that they're not included in the original purchase).

Just so we're all clear; this would have been a design choice by Apple to ensure that the laptop was comfortable to use for extended durations away from the desk where it may be sitting on your lap, or otherwise. Not Apple deliberately gimping the laptop to sell more pro devices.

AMD could secure capacity with Samsung for next gen parts, it's not like they're bound completely to TSMC.

This is another step Apple is taking on privacy, now targeting ISPs. This combined with the recent feud against Facebook with the AppStore new guidelines on privacy, I'll say Apple is going very strong on privacy.
