Scientists from China and Australia have made progress in the development of a liquid metal robot inspired by T-1000, the self-repairing, shape-shifting robot in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator films.

Researchers from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the University of Wollongong in Australia and Suzhou University, have designed a wheeled robot consisting of a plastic wheel, a small lithium battery and drops of gallium liquid‐metal (LM) alloys that possess the quality of controlled actuation.

Well, I have a feeling we are going to have a robot war in the future, and these robots we created will dominate humanity race. They will make us a slave and beat us like a dog! I mean look at this regenerate liquid robot we are developing right now.

It's the end times now lads

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. The True Path of the Feathered One. ~ Dimboble-dubabob III

All this stuff goes way over my head... if they ever design an AI system called Skynet let me know. Because they really shouldn't do that.

It's already being developed, we just call it the Google Assistant.

Is it time to reclassify the terminator movies as documentaries?

I always viewed the Terminator movies as warnings....Apparently companies looked at them as inspirational videos....The next apparent step is for us to reclassify them as documentaries....Hehehe.... **Fake laugh, hiding real pain** :)

Remember, SkyNet was already changed to GeniSys....Who knows what the next name will be?  Hehehe....

Fake as f**k news.

They are playing clips of magnetorheological fluid(the black goo) along with some clips of gallium or mercury.

Why are they showing the magnetorheological fluid? It has no gallium in it. It uses iron filings colloidally suspended in oil.

I see no self assembling nanomachines here. This is just clickbait bullshit.

robot war

Today, they use robots in war. Lots and lots of robots. The controller can be sitting in the USA and drop bombs over seas. No more is it man to man, its a faceless war.

All it needs is a microchip that can control a whole array of fluid power sources or lithium ions without destabilizing itself.

Oh, it also needs to learn how to build itself into a bomb. [T-1000 calls Samsung for advice]

The robots still kill humans in offensive wars. For defense it would be great to have a robot army, assuming it couldnt be hacked and turned on its masters.
