30C load temp, 22C idle temp at 2300MHz. Simple loop using an old Swiftech QPRES radiator, a cheap pump and a very old Koolance Socket A waterblock that I had to make a hold down for since the original hardware long since disappeared. Time for some more overclocking.

Ooo nice. I've been wanting to do this with my P4 rig but i need a far bigger case as it's currently got too many other things in with it XD

An original, working Macintosh my aunt got when she worked for Apple or some other computer store (I wasn't listening enough, just looking at this).

Not old by any means really, but the is a 2gig stick of DDR3 1333Mhz memory. My family did have a legitimately old XP machine, but we sold that sadly.

board has pcie and agp so i can try out a lot of different old gpus and drop in a qx6800 to remove a cpu bottleneck

I got an EVGA GTX 460 2win off eBay for $26 (plus shipping...). It's quite dusty and the fans are showing signs of dust damage, but I'll clean it up and give it a nice spot.

e6500k is a bit more interesting, for lower end stuff id actually usually run a 3ghz pentium d 925

 

sadly the ultra xconnect doesnt work anymore, it died sometime in storage, ive got a basic 450w psu im going to use for time being until i can get another one

Also, just asking, did you intentionally leave the fan off the CPU cooler?

its temporary until i get my cheap chinese water cooling kit (lol), i lost the little fan holder brackets for it

it actually keeps the e6500k cool on its own with that 80mm case fan blowing inwards

Old PC's were ugly as fuck but at the same time so cool looking.

Picked up something interesting on the weekend. Not a PC but it is electronic. 1920/30's Brunswick radio cabinet. And yes, it still works. $60 well spent.

Yeah, since it works, I'm going to clean it all up as best I can. My wife refinishes antique furniture, so she's probably going to re-do the exterior. Just amazes me that it's 90-100 years old and still works. Has such a nice, warm sound to it too.
