Yep, I catch my self thinking in that way from time to time as well. 

 

We all just have to recognize that people have different tastes, and there really are no wrong answers in the car world.

Yeah, Americans dont buy wagons. They have to be cleverly disguised as "SUVs" or Hatchbacks to sell in the US.

The thing with doing that on an NA Miata is it looks great (IMO) but it's not muscle car levels of aggressive. It's still a tuner type of aggressive. If that makes any sense

The most important thing in a Miata is the driving feel an handling. And it was engineered with perfect balance and engine to go back to the roots of the NA. If you can't get past the looks, which in my opinion still convey that puppy-dog look off a "little Miata that could", then you are missing the point.

He's getting older, doesnt care about performance as much anymore. So any ideas on a comfortable car, but doesnt look bad. He doesnt like buicks so PLEASE dont suggest that. From what its sounding like, he's probably going to end up with a Honda Accord lol

yeah I know thats probably ideal... He has a G35 right now and wants something different when the time comes. I suggested it, but another thing he is unsure of is if he will even be able to afford something in the range of a GLA45 when that time comes... He does say when he bought his G35, it was a bad decision and he suffered for it. He doesn't want to do that again, hes gonna pay cash for whatever he gets next. And it will probably be used.

We dropped a (35K mile) used motor in the G35 about 10K miles ago, so its still got a long life ahead of it probably. But who knows. I just hope it lasts long enough for a lot of the modern stuff (cars got REALLY luxurious in 2010 and upwards) to come down in price.

Oh i know the feeling. My grandfather drove an Opel Astra 1.6. He could've afforded anything else. But he went with that.. eyesore
