I used steam cleaners before. Just be extra careful with them. Modern cars should all be fine, but old cars. with things like velour and worn fabric can brake up if steam clean too hard. Pro tip, steam cleaning is what dry cleaners use.

Didn’t think it’d be that much, was thinking more like $200 xD

Don't suppose any of yous know the location of the battery for a RHD (UK) Merc C-class W204 (c220d to be specific)?

The battery is a little too dead to be jumped by my own car it seems...Jump points read 3.5V~ (starting it once a month, letting it idle for 10 minutes for 16 months hasn't worked great...) but would like to measure at the terminals to double check or take it out for charging/replacing but can't find it for the life of me. Everything online depicts it for LHS cars and even the manual depicts for LHS cars rather than RHS cars.

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Any possibility it's in the trunk behind some of the carpeting? It looks like it's under the hood from a quick google, but I've seen rear batteries before on midsized sedans.

Only found the spare-wheel there. Still don't understand why the location of the steering wheel affects battery location...as it's in-front of the wheel well so can't really see the steering rack or whatever affecting it.

Doesn't have a scuttle panel and isn't under the cabin air filter (like most W204, for both RHD and LHD cars). It's not in the boot either so have a rather funny feeling it's under the back seat 🤦‍♂️

Yeah, that's why it was so perplexing when I couldn't find it. Everything points as below the filter box on the left side but uncliped the 3 clips, pulled it out and it's just painted metal below. The right side has a fuse box and no-way of removing the whole thing.

I've hit that point where I can't stop looking at turbos. >_>

I can't decide if I want to stick with a TD04, or get a smallish ball bearing TD05.

Maybe I should do exhaust first. And fix my misfire. And delete the TGV's.

I've already got a TD04. I just want to get a bigger turbo... But not sure how much I want to give up in the bottom end to get more in the top end.

I have now started accumulating the parts to do shocks/struts on my car, it's been through quite a lot since I bought it new in '05, and at 130k miles it's time. I've been on lowering springs the whole time too, so the factory dampers were quite resilient.

My Current Setup:

AMD Ryzen 5900X

Kingston HyperX Fury 3200mhz 2x16GB

MSI B450 Gaming Plus

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

EVGA RTX 3060 Ti XC

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB

WD 5400RPM 2TB

EVGA G3 750W

Corsair Carbide 300R

Arctic Fans 140mm x4 120mm x 1

My miatas’ dampers were just starting to leak at 140k miles. kinda amazing how long they can last.

the koni adjustable ones i put on it are great although I pretty much leave it on full soft because our roads are trash here lol

new bump stops + new springs + new dampers = great riding car
