Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 150k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Thank you, it's just painted with Duplicolor Metalcast red over the original plastic chrome, but it fades in the sun after a few years. I just pull it off, chemically strip it, and re-paint it as needed.

I just don't get the trend of having the headlights go so far up the fender/hood, says the guy who's headlights go so far up the fender/hood. I mean if there were functional reasons for it, sure. On the Prius that projector does not require that much mounting depth, I've seen the bare units and they're the same size as must projectors, they'll fit into the area of a softball roughly, often even smaller than that, a little longer than tall or wide. All that plastic facing right up at the sun is going to haze up extra fast and make the car look super aged after only a few years if it's parked outside, maybe it's a conspiracy!
