Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Since waiting on adapter for the antenna to show up.

Working on one of my other projects.  Flipping my aftermarket speakers from the old truck to the new truck.

The magnets on the subs I've got are real lame too. I'm convinced the only reason they hit as hard as they do is because of the box grandad and I built for them with a really long port.

Yeah, a good box is going to help.

Going to be super tricky when I get around next year to put a sub in the truck.  Not a whole lot of space to work with.  So, have to get a good sub that can still work with limited space.  Still looking at subs and amps to figure out the right setup for the truck.  Don't want to blow myself out of the truck, but want some good bass since I listen to metal, hard rock, and other genres that have deep bass.

These DDs already do better bass than the stocks.  Had them in my Nissan Frontier, so I know how well these speakers work.

Driving home in the rain on a sunday morning was pretty great today. There was zero traffic.

Almost felt like i was in some kind of apocalypse movie.

And every stop light was just "Hello sir! I'll turn green right away sir! Have a good day sir!"

Shallow mount and high wattage?

Yeah, I am looking at shallow mounts.  High wattage is not everything though.  Finding the right specs on the tightness/looseness of movement and surface area of the woofer is what I look at.  All those other specs tell a bit of the subs structure and behavior.

Seriously, I had slow days while deployed, so I watch videos on sub tear downs and box construction.  There some good videos around by fabricators doing custom vehicle work.

My Cobb Access Port V3 acts as a code reader. Problem was it was (as it turns out) a generic code fro Ford, as my code reader nor the one at AutoZone could make any sense of it. From what I saw on the Ford Tech's computer, theres more digets to that "generic code" than what could be read with the generic ones.

Better than subway IMO, though a bit more expensive too.

1300hp will do that! A testament to the development Koenigsegg put into the Triplex rear suspension though; for an 11-mile straight stretch of road in the middle of nowhere in Nevada its pretty damn bumpy at 400+ kph.

It is a SR5 trim package with tow package.  Yeah, the stocks are highly disappointing, considering the price tag on this truck.  Then again, I was planning to switch out speakers.

Yes, you can hook a sub and amp off stock head units.  You will need line out convertor to correct the speaker level signal to the signal the amp can use to send to the sub woofer.  There some good digital processors now that can correct the stock head units' signal to be used with aftermarket amps.  Even ones with GUIs that can be accessed by a computer to do tuning.

Still doing research on sub woofers.  The deal with sub woofers is some are good for seal box or port box or both, and will sound different depending on layout and available space of the box.  Also, depends on the sound signature you are looking for out of the sub woofer.  Myself, I prefer tight, clean bass.  While others like loud, loose bass.  Each woofer will vary because of materials and build style.  Best thing to do, go listen to some subs, but be aware of the box style too as that affects the sound.
