Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

Are those stage 2 motor mounts daily quality, or just there for the power.

I do have rather worn engine mounts and have been looking at replacing them.

I already have a stage 2 dogbone because I replaced mine last year.

Second day of the new year. Ended up with a trip to the doc.

Was doing some cleaning and then i felt like i'd been shot in the chest at point blank range with a shotgun.

Doesn't seem to be serious and i'm back home. Doc said it may just be an inflamed sternum but to call if i have further issues.

Hurts like a motherfucker when i breathe though. Just thought i'd let you know since this may impact my mood.

They are a mix of both, the higher rated mounts you go the more vibration you will notice but its deffently worth it

Sounds good enough for me.

It'll be the biggest job I've done on the car. So I guess I'll do it in the summer when my hands won't freeze to the body.

I must admit, these cars have a very healthy aftermarket.

http://www.apmex.com/category/25400/silver-bars/all

I'm ordering the one on top once a week after I turn 18. You're paying a little bit more than what its worth because its been magiced into a little one ounce bar. The way I was taught is, even if you're a complete dumbass, you can put away at least one of these a month, and that will be your retirement at the minimum.  There are a bunch of places you can sell it. I'm pretty sure @bcredeur97 will know the best places you can sell it. If you're in a pinch, a pawn shop will do.

Imma do it once a week because buying one of these is the same as buying 3 to 5 starbucks coffees.

Today the value of silver is $15.98 per ounce. a one ounce bar is $18.82 because it was put into "desirable" form.

So at a minimum if I put one a week for 60 years (I hope to retire much sooner than that ;) ) I'm looking at

15.98 x 52 = 830.96 ish (because the price goes up and down) a year

830.96 x 60 = $49,857.60 in silver after 60 years.

So anyone can put away a small savings if they buy silver instead of Starbucks.

I honestly prefer silver eagles, partially because it's what I have, but also because you pay a couple dollars more right now, but they're constantly worth a little more than raw silver, and are actually US currency which may be useful someday. Not likely, but possible.

Speaking of ordering things, I'm gonna order some SP2500s. Then figure out my monitor situation. Then my PC is done for a long while.

i kinda want a logitech z906, but that's not a priority, considering one of my altec lansing 2.1 satellite speakers blew out sadly. this is my list in terms of tech, from highest priority to lowest.

a new i7 unlocked machine with a 1060 or 970 whichever is better

thrustmaster t500rs (surprised target, the last store i'd expect to find something like this for cheap, has it for the cheapest http://www.target.com/p/thrustmaster-t500-rs-steering-wheel-with-pedals-black-playstation-3/-/A-15841568)

dell xps 13 2 in 1 for college most likely (depends on how much the new xps 13 2-in-1 costs)

logitech z906 (as much as i want surround sound, that's not a priority at this point)

of course, getting a car is my highest priority right now, but this list is after i get a car.

Whp is the power that ends up at the wheels. After the losses that happen throughout the drivetrain.

BHP is for showing off. WHP is the actual power that gets put down.

because power at the crank is lost when it has to go through the driveline and the wheels. usually its less than brake horsepower measured at the crank.

That's what everything in the internet seems to point towards. I didn't even find any info about a rod linkage in a mk4.

But a correction, I have an 02k I think. Still no info I can find.

Toooons of car enthusiasts will say that at one point or another. The torque figure is more important to me personally and the feel of the car will always be more important than the power figures. If a car feels fast then it feels fast xD
