Since all models of GeForce GTX 1070 Ti on the market come with the same clock speeds, we can’t say this model is faster. What makes this card different from previous EVGA cards is the cooler design. It has been upgraded to 2.5-slot, packing a huge heatsink underneath the ACX 3.0 cooling solution.

The FTW Ultra Silent is based on non-reference PCB design with 10+2 phases powered by dual 8-pin power connectors.

The new card is currently available in EVGA store for 499 USD.

Since SLI isn't worth it imo, I see no issue in having 2.5 slot cards if there is an actual benefit to them.

Also nice to see its actually supported on the 3rd slot (looking at you ZOTAC).

Imagine overclocking that card. You could probably get some really nice clocks out of it with a cooler that hefty.

Why didn't they go full 3 slot cooling if it actually occupies 3 expansion slots?

I can only assume that if you make the heatsink too THICC the fans are unable to adequately cool it without spinning faster, there goes the "quiet" aspect.

They could have made them thicc-er and have 2 slot for the heatsink and 1 for the fans

You can cut out a few full fins and still keep the card relatively quiet.

Exactly the same as others, most Pascals reach the same-ish freq, but the RPM required differs from cooler to cooler. This one should be fairly silent.

I know, that's what I'm talking about too. You can see the black support bracket above. The USB-C looking part is just where the support bracket is fastened to the PCI bracket to prevent sag.
