ya like metal??

idontknowwhy

I like old Metallica music, their best being Kill 'Em All in my opinion.  Their new album is laughably bad IMO.  I also like Meshuggah, Fear Factory, Deftones, Mudvayne (Dig Album), the ACDC Live album (the tits), Beartooth, 5FDP, Chimaira, etc etc etc.

KILL EM ALL

Only song I like on the new album is Spit out the bone. The rest is either okay or catered to their hard rock fans.

Thrash has experienced quite the revival over the last 10 or so years. There's a whole new scene of thrash/crossover bands coming up.

While the quality of the bands tends to be lacking, there are some great bands among them.

Speaking of crossovers, this is, as the kids say, FIRE!!!! Holy crap this is just good.

When I was in high school. The metal type stuff I still listen to now is Motorhead, Megadeth, System of a Down, Sometimes Iron Maiden and one In Flames song.

I forgot system of a down. I like them too. I also like Korn

I'm curious to know a fellow Korn fan's opinion of Serenity of Suffering.

Imo their best album in over a decade.

I've not played my Korn albums for years, but I used to play them all the time when I was a teenager.

I will forever love Blind though!

Just a perfect track. Their new album is pretty good though.

Their rendition of radioheads creep was just beautiful

I even liked their album with skrillex

I guess I grew with them and learned to appreciate their musical talent and ability to do different stuff rather than just wanting the same formula every time like some fans do.

Can't beat a bit of word up

Got the life is just amazing.

I missed a bunch of their albums though

As for the accidental OP - I wouldn't say I like metal, I just like some bands.

My favorite Korn song is probably Get Up!, because of the unique dubstep addition. Second is Freak on a Leash

I've been listing to metal and similar genres increasingly again over the past few years since there has been very few good electronic songs since 2013, so I had to go back to the good old stuff. I mainly listen to older stuff as I don't really find much new stuff I like as much.

Types of metal I like? Thrash, Heavy, Alt, Speed, Nu, Metalcore, and as long as it good I'll listen. I also like Grunge.

Some of the metal bands I like:

Metallica, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Black Sabbath, Pantera, Korn, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Black Label Society, Slayer, Slipknot, FFDP, Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Stone Sour, Trivium Killswitch Engage, and more. Those were just the once I thought of first.

My current obsession is Canadian Technical/Neoclassical Death Metal act First Fragment. This is some seriously fucking intense shit but it probably turns off most people because of how busy it is, even for technical death metal standards

Atheist meets Yngwie Malmsteen? It's actually really good. I need to check out more from that band.

Well, I've been obsessed with pretty much the opposite of that:
