What DDR5 speed sould i get

Go to solution Solved by Shimejii,

6000 Cl 30 is pretty much the only ram speed you should be getting for both Intel and AMD at this moment until memory controllers get better. If you just want a Plug in, press XMP and be done and know its gonna be stable 馃檪

For a balanced productivity ans gaming?

For what CPU and how much are you buying? If you're buying 4 sticks to get 128GB, 192GB or 256GB, there's pretty much zero point buying fast RAM because it won't work @ the EXPO/XMP speed.

Ok with AMD, but you can go quite higher with Intel 14th gen at least, over 7000

Do not recommend people to get that ram. You have to tinker beyond 6400, and that is well beyond the scope of what the vast majority of people will do. If they post they want to try it thats one thing, but you do not recommend something like that to just a normal user.

Are some intel cpus capable? Yes, but not all, and that can be all it takes for them to not try this again.

You should only recommend items that will work out of the box without an issue. Any sort of bios/tinkering with settings and you will have lost most people. Even getting XMP to be enabled can be pretty rough with some peps.

But with high speed RAM there are XMP options at least up to 7200 corresponding to the RAM speed, I didn't think about manual RAM OC (which is a pain indeed)
