What Price Range is too much for a single hardware component for You right now?

How much is too much?  What's the price range that you feel is too much for a single component where you say "this is too much" & would refrain from buying that particular product , Please reply in general like 300-400 range or a per component basis , So What's your price limit?

I would never pay over £200 for a PC component, I would never pay over £60 for a case , I would never pay over a penny for a console.

Right now? In CAD:

Up to $350 for CPU.

Up to $450 for GPU.

I would never pay more than $100 for a keyboard or mouse.

 

I just can't afford to pay out $450 for the 7700k, much less $529.99 for a Ryzen7 1700x. Or $800 for a 1080.

 

If I won the lottery(not like I buy tickets), that wouldn't be an issue, but right now, nope... I may buy used last gen hardware for cheap.

Case: $150

PSU: $150

CPU: $500 ($300 Before, but I just bought an i7-7700k, so, yeah)

GPU: $500

Mobo: $200 (+/- $10)

Storage: $250 Sata SSD / $150 HDD / $350 M.2 SSD

500€ for a CPU.

Other Parts around 150 - 200€.

 

I only buy new stuff when needed, so its worth it most of the time.

I would never pay over 50$ for a case. I would never pay over 60$ for a psu unless I have a good budget to focus on those which is not gonna happen.

There would be (and have been) exceptions to the below if I was feeling particularly bored or drunk (glad I don't drink much anymore, it was getting quite expensive) but generally;

 

No more than £120.00 for a PSU

No more than £400 for a CPU (although I have broken this in the past, by a lot)

No more than £150 for a case unless it's really nice

No more than £350 for a GPU but I do want a 1080ti or maybe just a 1080, so we will see next time I'm drunk

Consumer line CPUs.  Never over $300.

Higher line of CPUs.  Break off point is $700.

Low end case.  Limit is $100.

Case Lab case.  As long as it is not over a grand.

GPUs, varies by range.  Low and Mid range.  Limit is $300-$380.

High end range of GPU.  Limit is $680.

If I can find this stuff lower, I will.  I tend to buy used anyways.
