What was your first computer?

xserd

I still have my C64 (now a 128 as I upgraded the memory to 128 kilobits (not bytes, bits) , the 9lbs external floppy drive, and a baud modem that charged insane amounts (like a 1mb transfer would be about $75usd) and typing "Hey, how are you" would take 5 minutes to go 15 miles up the road.

There is enough youth in this world, how about a fountain of smart?

First 'PC' was a TI994/A with the full disk expansion system.  Then Apple II's and IBM 8086's at school.

First personal system was a 286 12MHz hand-me-down.  Played carmen sandiego and scorched earth on it.

I can still hear that song "Where on Earth is...Carmen Sandiego".

Pegasus played Atari and Nintendo games right? Or was it Atari and Colecovision? I forget. My dad had one. He wouldn't let me play it much though. Maybe twice.

My first PC I've ever used was a slime HP Compaq with Windows XP on it with a VGA Monitor and Standard HP Mouse and Kedboard. I was about 5-6 years old.

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

It was a "white" Windows XP computer from my webdesigner (now bitcoin miner) cousin, circa 2004. He was still running a CRT monitor.

By the time i only had a PS1 and he had this computer that could play NFS Underground and GTA Vice City, i was blown away!

I was going to get my first computer only in 2008, a Vista laptop, it sucked hard.

My interest with computer hardware would only surface after i built my socket 775 system.

My first PC that I had in my room was when I was in elementary school in the early 90s, it ran Windows 3.1 (with Workgroups! :D) and I had it for a few years before I upgraded to a Windows 95 PC with a 333MHz Intel Celeron with 128MB of RAM, I remember all of the computers in the house were on a bus network and we had to terminate the cables with these guys but playing multiplayer Doom was one of my most vivid childhood memories. The first computer I purchased myself wasn't until the early 2000s when I built my first PC with an AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Barton that I overclocked with a pencil. :D

In elementary plus a few relatives had 286 rigs. I remember I used to play this on them:

Compared to most atari games of the time it seemed far more advanced and fun.

my first PC encounter was using an Atari ST my dad had. i mostly played games on it, there was a flight simulator i remember playing a lot. My dad also ran a BBS on another system and I would dial into there to chat.

I'm apparently very old.

I'm not very old so my first PC was running Windows XP or Vista and I believe a Penitum. My first console was either an original Xbox or a console that could play SNES and NES games. I still have the NES/SNES thing, just wish I kept my Xbox... Might buy a new one just cause
