Finally a laptop that can actually play games at 4K. Shame that it will be expensive AF.

That will take 16 PCIe lanes.

Think of it this way-you could run a graphics card with PCIe x16 support on a single PCIe lane....

This laptop should be shipped with a steel suitcase, like how AMD did with their R9 295X2, consider the super premium price tag it is going to get

A true desktop replacement, what more can I say. Honestly, I would never consider it. Especially with pascal, a single gpu is enough for my needs - though I wish the new Razer Blade 14' had the 1070 and not the 1060. Maybe a future version :/

The 120W TDP of the notebook 1070 would be very hard to cool.

Pst.....they managed to cool 85W Pentium 4 in laptops right back in 2003-I think that laptop cooling has come a long way in 13 years.

But not in a blade 14! That would a challenge as the 970m already heats up there.

Well, they did decided to go full retard with what they decided to cram into such a small chassis. Long story short, any laptop that is of a decent size (aka, 15"+) won't have problems with throttling if the design is planned out well.

can you even call that thing a laptop? I mean yeah you can technically use it on the couch, but the things looks to be far from portable.

Might as well build a PC at the size. Most people will buy a mouse anyways, and some get mech keyboards and seperate monitors for there laptop but claim they need portability... A friend did this once, laptop left his house once every few months.

Or it runs like a bag of sh*t because of thermal throttling.

a) Huge ass battery

b) Watercooling dock

I assume it will disable one GPU or throttle them when not attached to the dock.
