Personally I don't see problem with this as I will most likely never go with more than one GPU unless it will be perfectly supported in all games. Poor Jayz though. Posted May 11, 2016 Eh, I've never ran more than 2 cards, and that was back when the gts 250 was still a decent card. As long as the 1070 supports 2 way sli, I will be fine.

Posted May 11, 2016 does the 1070 use the new SLI standard too? on topic: I don't see a problem with this for most people. Plus if the multiGPU thing in DX12 ever becomes a thing maybe you could just have 4 GPU's not in "SLI" but still working together to render so it wouldn't matter. Posted May 11, 2016 The only reason I'd like to have more than one 1080 would be for multiple monitors, by that I mean if I'm purchasing two of the most powerful GPU's there are currently out there (I mean as consumer grade hardware is concerned.) - I'd have some nice monitors to go with it... But on the down side, I can't even afford a 1080 :3 IT Student | Gamer | PC Enthusiast | Life Liver
 Since that'd be useful to have 4 of them but other than that yeah only people going for record benchmarks use more than 2 of them for the most part. no Thats that. Posted May 11, 2016 I mean, SLI won't be that important once we get more DX12 and Vulkan games that don't require SLI to use multiple GPUs... But for now, that kinda sucks
