Luke: No Kids Ever?!?

kajar9

In the last wan show Luke told he is never going to have kids... why?!?
He would be an awesome dad in my mind... He has more daddy material vibe than Linus...
Linus looks like an toddler compared to him... Luke is not mature, he's an forever young male adult always a mischeafous child deep down inside.

So what is the backstory to no kids for Luke... this makes me sad.
I want to see Luke juniors =) The would certainly look awesome as well.

Why Luke, oh god why?

Are you sick... dyeing? Cancer? No... no........no... but i digress... as this is a mess of a thread.... nothing worth... dead.

being and awesome dad and a good dad are 2 things.

if Luke is the same on camera as behind then it might go well, but I doubt he is.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

Not everyone want kids. Or at the very least, not when they are still in their twenties and enjoying life. Which you can't really do with kids.

Good dad.... I don't know if he'll be good dad... I'd bet he'd try... try his best!
But awesome dad... that comes from his nature... as an awesome sexy male.

I don't see how those characteristics are needed for a good dad.

But he did say never... like never ever. With meaning. Hasn't he thought of it AT ALL? He isn't that young to just not have thought of it... He is a man after all....

I startled a bit when he said it, but I understand it too. There shouldn't be a taboo in saying you dont want kids, I fully understand why you wouldn't want them.

Thats his own choice.

There are a ton of reasons to not have kids.

And i have a feeling that his dad jokes would be unbearable

Well, never is a big word and it can always change 5~10 years down the line. It just means that he doesn't feel like he's ready to give up his youth for a kid just yet.

What's up with the cultural stigma of not wanting kids?

I guess this is a thing in the places where people have money.

But in for example my country where average worker get monthly paycheck with less than what average american earn for a week or less is completely normal to not want kids.

Actually if you want kids people look at you as if you are alien, hah. Of course nowadays national birthrate is in so deep decline that is estimated we have about ~70 years before we vanish as a nation.

I believe Luke has stated that he is fine with kids, as in other peoples kids, but he'd hate having his own.  He doesn't like children except in short bursts.  That is from off hand, however.  I may be wrong.  In my own personal opinion as well - having kids sort of forces a series of events most people don't want.  It's like adopting a dog, your mobility and capability of travelling ceases somewhat, and your financial situation becomes more focused on their well being and less than on yourself.   That's a selfish view-point, but, eh.  People can sometimes benefit from being more selfish.   And paranoid.  That too.

Wow, you made an entire thread to basically create criticism and pressure on another person's simple and personal decision not to have kids?  That's super creepy.

It's understandable why someone wouldn't want kids. Whether it's because of the immense amount of pain a woman has to go through during childbirth, not having the funds, not being a suitable parent, etc. It's perfectly understandable. I, personally, want kids, but if my future wife doesn't want to deal with the pain of giving birth, then I wont have kids. (I'll be sad that I wont have an Anthony [Middle and Last name redacted] The 3rd to continue my legacy, but that's fine.)

It's Luke's life, it's Luke's business. If he doesn't want kids, that's his choice.

It's not your place to tell him what he should and shouldn't do. You don't even know him.

Why is this even a thread?
