well tbh as far as value for money is concerned they aren't all that crash hot compared to membranes that can be picked up for like a 10er.

I kinda agree with mouse though, using a Microsoft Optical mouse that is 12 years old now and still works great.

But keyboards.. I have a membrane keyboard, but I still really want mechanical

To be honest, a keyboard is something someone who has never experienced a mechanical board is probably going to overlook. It might not make sense to them. Hell, it doesn't make sense to a lot of people.

keyboards i could honestly go either way, membrane or mechanical. As far as mice are concerned there is nothing like a high quality gaming mouse

I agree with you about the keyboard, but that mouse looks like it`s good enough if it has a good sensor. Some people, including me, just don`t need more than three buttons.

He's right - I've been using membrane keyboards for 10 years. Never had an issue. Only swapped it twice. Both lasted 4 years each. Used for competitive gaming and typing.

I've only ever used 2 mice - 1 10$ Canyon that lasted 6 years and my current Razer Taipan which is on its second year.

I don't think that mechanical keyboards are worth it, but a good mouse definitely is, particularly if you're in to shooters (obviously it won't make you better on its own, but it will mean you're not held back by the hardware you're using).

I guess so, I have never used anything better than what I have in terms of mouse.. But do have used a mechanical keyboard

Personally I don't feel like I miss something in the mouse, but the keyboard I have is sometimes lackluster

In my opinion mechanicals are nicer than membrane, but not by much and I'm not convinced they're worth the price premium having bought one. I could go either way to be honest. But a good gaming mouse is essential, I would never, ever, skimp on the mouse to get a better keyboard.
