For Example, Nvidia / AMD / Intel spend millions on R&D for their GPUs and CPUs, respectively. But still offer much more value for price/performance ratio.

 

Who told you apple doesn't speed millions too  ?

Compact hardware is much more difficult than of high end desktop stuff.

I don't care how good a company's marketing is, or how "stupid" the average consumer might be... If a company releases an underwhelming product, then it won't sell (well). period. end of discussion. The reason why Apple is successful is the same reason that McDonalds is successful -- they're consistent (except contrary to McDonalds, they offer a high end experience). When you buy an Apple product you expect it to work well, you expect good support on the rare occasions that you need it, and you expect it to work just like every other iPhone you've ever used. Now compare that to Android where the majority of Android phones are pretty much crap, with the flagships losing support after one, maybe two updates, and usually experiencing significant slowdowns. My dads three year old iPhone 5 is still a hell of a lot better than any of the Android phones at the time today, the same goes for his iPhone 4.

Some of the Indian brand sells Android with 2gb ram, 5" HD Screen, Snapdragon Quadcore processor phone for about 90$. Reviews aren't bad either.

Do they? I was led to believe that lightning cables didn't support the standard. The iPhone 6 only connects over USB 2.0 if memory serves. Maybe they updated it on the 6s, but I've heard no mention of it.

 

Not asking for 3.1. I never even mentioned 3.1. That's overkill. But to my knowledge, Lightning doesn't have the necessary connectors to use USB 3.0. Maybe I'm wrong, but... Would have thougt they'd have mentioned it.

NVME is also useful for 4k shooting and the 4k editing they seem desperate for people to do on their phones. And they're not wrong with the last bit....the average user will NEVER export their video to a computer to edit it, but they may do it on their phone if it's a good enough experience (obviously these people are power users, but an NVME SSD could definitely help with this).

 

AFAIK the lightning connector is still USB 2.0, which is a shame, but also not the biggest deal in the world considering how rarely you actually sync the device.

Clearly the higher cost of an iPhone (which is negated by the fact that they tend to last longer....for the people who keep their phones for as long as they're viable, which is actually a pretty decent percentage) is worth while, otherwise people wouldn't be buying so many iPhones. Apple doesn't have this magical marketing trick that will make people have a good/better experience when using an iPhone. The reason they sell as well as they do is because people enjoy using an iPhone more than they did their previous Android phone, or their friends Android device. 

 

I switched from Android to iOS back when the 5s came out, and I enjoyed using iOS far more than I did using Android for the prior four years. And even to this day, I still prefer iOS to the most recent versions of Android that I've used (which is admittedly a bit antiquated -- kit kat, but seeing as how iOS and Android really haven't changed that much in the last few generations that shouldn't matter).

Even if their marketing is great if their products are bad it will not sale and if the experience is bad people won't buy it again.

 

That's what happens when a greedy company sells stuff for almost the 5x of the production cost and their stupid fanboys still blindly buy it without looking around for better alternatives at half of the price. :angry:

How is support average ? do you experience with them ?

And yes it's up to par as that's what you expect from Apple. I wouldn't rate it up to par but that's subjective what do you rate as great build quality ?
