Wasabi Mango revealed a 43" 4K monitor with HDMI 2.0 and Displayport 1.2

Do you remember the UHD420 Real4K HDMI 2.0? The one that was reviewed by PcPer and Tek Syndicate, and praised for its inclusion of HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2, which allows you to achieve 4K at a full 60Hz ,4:4:4 color gamut and FreeSync at a low price. After revealed the 49" and 65" ver, Wasabi Mango revealed a 43" version, called "UHD430 REAL4K HDMI 2.0".

For those who never heard of Wasabi Mango, it is from Korea, which like Yamakasi, QNIX and Achieva, offer a range of low cost monitor options with various sizes, and were starting to flood the market via eBay sellers located in Korea.

Besides differences on size, the UHD430 is very similar to the UHD420 in terms of specs.

There are not much info about this monitor at this moment. But interestingly, unlike the UHD490, Wasabi Mango didn't mention Freesync in the promotional material of UHD430, which MAY suggest that this monitor doesn't support FreeSync at this moment. This is yet to confirm since there is no words from Wasabi Mango on whether this support FreeSync or not.

Pricing and availability is still unknown too at this moment. This monitor has been listed on a Korean price comparison website Danawa.com, but pricing was not revealed. I think we could have more info in a few days.

*update on 18/09/2015: Pricing was revealed on Danawa.com. It was priced around $739000 won to $850000 won,which is around $625 to $719. Noted that this price doesn't reflect the pricing from those Ebay resellers.

According to Wendell they do support Freesync but many of them need a bios update (they have a convenient USB port just for that purpose though) Well the other one but no reason to doubt this will be the case we just need for the aforementioned reviewers to test it.

 

EDIT: Damn it! I can never see comments about this monitor without feeling like a sushi roll with you know what ingredients.

43"? It's a TV by that point...

my guess is no cable input. cutting costs because who would have this but not a cable box. but because it doesnt have a cable input, cant be called a "TV"

yeah, I only noticed because I was going to let my buddy use my 27 inch monitor in his room for his xbox and stuff, but relizes he watches cable and it doesnt have a input for that.

They've been out for about a year. There are some YT videos on their monitors. The founder must love wasabi and mangos. :P

Dell was having a $600 off sale for the fully specced out model, so I decided to get it :P

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

Mmmm. I want. But I can't decide if I should get 21:9 1440p first or the 4k.

21x9 1440p. Easier to drive in games, more immersive (such a buzzword, but true) and the horizontal screen real estate is more useful for multi-tasking imo.

65 inches is insane. My monitor is 21.5 inches, but it's still pretty big to me because I sit very close to it.

The biggest  BURNOUT  fanboy on this forum.

Man I wish my Wasabi Mango QHD 275 is able to get a bios upgrade to get freesync. That might solidify my next gpu upgrade in a year and a half.
