Samsung “The Safety Truck” has screens on the back

In Argentina ,to help reduce the number of traffic accidents, Samsung has installed wireless cameras on the front bumper that stream images from the front of the truck to screens that are mounted on the rear doors on its fleet of truck . The cameras even have a night vision mode that allows drivers behind them to see it in the dark.

I'm assuming this should by showing what's in front of the truck because car drivers can't see over semis? what's the purpose?

Its so people driving behind semis can see if it's safe to overtake it. This really only applies to people driving on 2 lane roads.

I hope that one day this will be standard on all semi trucks. I can't stand not seeing past a semi (even if I don't plan on passing).
