If those indeed are screens on the back, people are so gonna steal them. I know here they wouldn't last an hour.

Some yes, from time to time. I mean people have to park somewhere to sleep for long travels. And there are many people here that are just waiting to steal.  :lol:

This might be a recipe for rear ending. If you get fixated on the screen you think the car infront is further away than the truck actually is.

I usually hug the shoulder so cars have a little room to peek, but this is a cool idea. I'd just be worried about theft, and damage caused by some yard workers carelessness.

i work for a traffic management company which promotes safety on the road..i showed this to my boss, and he's like meh..

 

i was thinking of doing the same for our static trucks, but the concerns are:

"does it promote AWARENESS, or will it cause furthermore confusion/distraction for roadusers"

 

you'd be surprised that some will be more than confused

Yeah, you thinking something along the lines of; someone half asleep in the middle of the night, sees a car "coming at them" in the screen, and panic?
