Is vaping bad for your PC?

I vape a lot inside my room and my room is not that big. I noticed that some of the vapor I breathe out is getting sucked in by the front intake fan on my case since it's sitting on the right side of my desk. I sometimes even vape in front of my pc just to see how the air would flow.

Just wondering if that would be bad for my pc, because Vaping produces vapour "water vapor" (just a little amount tho. iirc)

Shout out to all the vapers here.

It's bad for your lungs. Your pc will probably not care. Smoking however is pretty bad for pc's.

It's not really that bad for your lungs. It's only vapor.

OT: At school, some people have fun putting vapor into the PC and turning 'em on. Looks cool and PC still works so yeah.

I would say no, unless you are blowing 'fat' clouds in side the fans to box it... if you are casual vaping in your room, it will not.

You are kidding right? If it was just water vapor you wouldn't even do it.

yeah, vapor which contains nicotine along with a bunch of other chemicals to make it just as addictive as normal cigarrettes

The bottles have toxic on them and it says to wash immediatelly if it goes on your hand. But smoking it is completely fine of course, human logic.

Any humidity that would deposit on the pcbs will evaporate extremely quickly, so it shouldn't be a huge problem (I wouldn't vape right inside it though). and yeah, it's much worse for you than for your pc.

Before they banned smoking at work you could tell a pc's age by the yellow tar and nicotine buildup in the case. They started putting little door on diskette drives to keep the tar from building up on the read/write heads. They survived fine.

V2 is my fave

ROFL I was reading this expected your response. Do you just smoke or smoke and vape?

And for the uneducated, vaping is very different then normal smoking. Hell, we can even vape in school. Teachers, the police officer stationed here, they don't care as long as we don't do it in front of underclassmen. Yet we get yelled at for phones. Keep that in mind

Trying to move from smoking to vaping. Not very successful so far as I've yet to find a flavor I truly like.

I grow tired of the health nuts who "read some article" about E-cigs or vaping, and then making a vague generalization about the entire thing, as though:

A. anyone asked

B. there weren't numerous studies showing that those other studies (quoted by the articles) weren't carried out in a completely inaccurate to real life manner. (kind of like that study that "proved" marijuana had four times the amount of tar as tobacco, which was carried out incorrectly, the marijuana hadn't been dried properly, and thus that commercial is no longer on TV. because it's not at all accurate to real life.).

If you read the "studies" that say vaping (not E-cigs because those thing are the equivalent of buying male enhancement pills on the internet) is harmful, and then read up some information on vaping, you quickly will realize the temperatures and voltage/wattages used in the study, are FAR above normal, to the point they were actually burning the wicking material. While nicotine is indeed harmful to you, low temperature vaping is still far less harmful than actual cigarettes. Not to mention that vaping can help get you off of cigarettes, and eventually you can ween yourself off of the nicotine by lowering the percentage of nicotine in your vapor liquid.

Yes, vaping is considerably different from smoking. It doesn't have a lot of the nasty carcinogenic stuff (tar comes to mind) that are present in normal cigarets, but it does still have nicotine, which is both addictive and pretty dangerous. Nicotine is what makes cigarets addictive, it's a stimulant, and it is potentially very harmful. Feel free to disagree, but vaping is certainly not harmless.

As for what it will do to your PC, it might cause it to collect sticky dust similar to regular smoking (nicotine is sticky too), but to a lesser extent. It shouldn't get smelly and disgusting nearly as fast, but it will eventually.
