  1. Hey guys my workplace is doing secret santa and the woman that I have to buy a gift for is from Romania, I want to buy her something that will remind her of Romania. I was thinking something like a selection of popular Romanian chocolate or alcohol. If you could name some popular chocolate that most Romanians like or alcohol i'll have a look and see if i can get it delivered here to the UK. Thanks for any help.
  2. I'm using the MSI Z370 SLI PLUS and intended to connect them as shown in this image
  3. I have never done a custom water cooling loop before but since I got a second GTX 1080 i have not been happy with my overall temps and want to improve them, as well as make my rig look sexier of course. The main part I am concerned about is fittings, I am not too certain if I have the right amount of fittings etc. Here are the parts that I have chosen so far: And here is a picture of a loop that I am planning to mimic, but with two GPU's of course. All of this will be going into an NZXT H440, if anyone has an input or sees any potential prob
  4. It doesn't switch back though, it reaches 4.7Ghz when I turn my PC on but then it never goes past 3.7Ghz after a few minutes, this started happening out of nowhere and the temps are fine.
  5. Before when idle my max clock would be 4.7Ghz and min 800MHz, now even when at a high load it doesn't budge past 3.7Ghz.
  6. When I start up my PC my CPU clock speed turbos up to the max speed set in my BIOS (4.7Ghz) but then after a few minutes it goes back to 3.7Ghz max, it only started to do this a few days ago and I have not changed any settings whatsoever, any idea on what could be causing this?
  7. I have tried resetting the bios and the only programs I have running are steam, chrome and Logitech gaming software. i have not downloaded any OC tools etc.
  8. The pump works, i want to know what I can do to fix the clock speed and voltage.
  9. Yes, and as mentioned I tried two different coolers. Even if the cooler wasn't installed properly the fact that it is at a constant 4.3-4.7Ghz and 1.2-1.3V isn't normal right?
  10. I recently got an i7 8700k and it seems to be running constantly at 4.3-4.7 GHz and 1.2-1.3 V. This is causing high temps, just having my PC on and browsing the web using chrome the temps reach 80c When I played a game earlier today the temps almost reached 90c with not even a 50% load on the CPU. I have tried two different coolers, the H60 and the H100 and there was barely any difference so I am convinced it has something to do with a setting in my BIOS. I have an MSI z370 SLI PLUS, anyone have any ideas?
  11. It seems like Ryzen is a good choice for new builds but not worth the upgrade for the people with slightly dated i7's. At least not in my case.
  12. I currently have an i7 3770k which I feel is starting to get old, I have it paired with a 1080. I am thinking of upgrading to a Ryzen 1700 and changing from an ATX board to Micro ATX. Outside of gaming at 1080p (144hz) I will be doing very occasional streams, I want to know if upgrading my i7 3770k would be worth it at this point, I have tried looking for gaming benchmarks that compare the older i7's and the new Ryzen but couldn't find any. (If somebody has a link that would be nice) I would appreciate any thoughts.
  13. Yeah the power supply is fine, I tried it on my old board with the i3 processor. I just hope that there is no funny business with my rma and I actually get a replacement/compensation.
  14. I didn't consider 64c max to be high temps, I am leaning more towards the motherboard being the problem as it was pre owned.
