You can now download your Google search history

Google is now allowing users to download a copy of their entire search history. First, you’ll need a Google account. From there, pop over to your Account History page, click the cog in the top right of the screen and select Download.

Once you agree to Google’s brief albeit important notification, you can click Create Archive at which time the search giant will compile your search history into a JSON file sorted chronologically by quarter. Once complete, you’ll receive an e-mail with a link to your search history in Google Drive that can be downloaded as a ZIP file.

Google advises that the archive shouldn't be downloaded on a public computer and, if it is to be exported to another cloud storage service, that the user reads their export policy in the event they want to take their files elsewhere in future.

Two things worth noting are that downloading search history only gives the user a copy of their archive held by Google and doesn't delete the history from the users Web & App Activity page.

Why not? Google (and a bunch of other companies) already has this data so all it does is let people who use Google get quick access to the info stored about them as well.

That's a good thing.

That topic made me realise that I should clear my browser history, imagine if someone would watch it, I'd probably be in jail ^^

What if someone gets into your account and downloads your history and uses it against you. It makes it really easy for companies to get your past history. I like it for me though.

wasn't me, i live in Tennessee in the usa, ok so her job was to file taxes, like h&r block things like that but, for a local company, owner was boss, 3 other employees. She did some adult films along with dancing at parties ;). They found out, she might have said something. Gets fired now works delivery pizza. I said, i thought she could sue, She never did. They could of fired her for falsified job application, she was kinda proud, i think she would of had it on there. I don't work with her anymore, i see her from time to time ;), not my type. Im sure i could ask more details if you would like, i know she doesn't care. Also how do you do the spoilers thing, not everyone should be reading this probably.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.
