Only scummy companies are scared of unions because they know they won't be able to fuck their staff over anymore. In the UK unions have done a lot of good work especially these days. In the past some got a bad name but these days a lot of unions will really help you out. Companies think twice before fucking you over if you are part of a union. The US could really use with a lot more unions.

It's for when I go camping I want something cheap to watch films and episodes of Star Trek on. Needs to have a descent battery life on it, ideally 10 hours but I could just buy another battery and take that along I suppose. Seen a few Lenovo Thinkpads for sale with old i3's and some i7's, how good are they at video playback? Would a Surface 3 be any good as a tablet?

If SSD's would come down in price to match or even come close to how cheap HDD's are that would be nice. Otherwise SSD's aren't going to dominate like people think they will, cost is more important then performance. No one is going to store their library of movies or music on an SSD at the moment, for one thing there is barely any reason to even playing 8k video isn't needed on an SSD and it's simply not cost effective to do so.

Really puts it into perspective, Canada is the second largest country in the world but Russia is still almost twice the size of Canada. Russia is fucking huge.
