Amd, a lone challenger, a lone gpu enters the stages

brownninja97

Firstly id like to talk about an old tale, this tale consisted on three titans so to speak. They came and ripped up the competition, by standers watched in fear that their pcs may not be able to handle such a radical change, change itself, is that something we want, do we need it?

Either way, AMD is making your mind up for you for another gpu enters the stage, it doesnt boast some wonderful name, hell its family line may of had its glitches.

But the bottem line is that its a monster, its a complete tank.

Those titans I was talking about earlier, they mean nothing in the wake of this being.

So let it be known, the Radeon R7 250XE, the dark horse, it now rises, its all pcb now.

89a.jpg

At first glance you would expect  a pathetic lowly creature however it boasts 640 stream processors, it rivals that of a 7770 yet it needs no six pin for extra power.

And as for power usage, 35watts, yeah five more then the radeon 6450, crazy

As if that wasnt enough they reduced the price, what you mean by 10%? 20%?

NO 50% OFF.

You see this card will be going into combat with the Gt 740 where it will win, at everything(apart from physx, i wont tell you why, go google it).

http--www.gamegpu.ru-images-Radeon_R7_25

You might ask, brownninja97, why in the name of mini-linus(unofficial name) would i buy such a thing?

Well you would buy this so that you have a light gaming htpc, a streaming pc, a hd ready "for science" machine, your poor, your country sucks with prices and import fees.

The end goal for this is for people that want a gpu but dont have the money and also for OEM companies, those companies can go crazy with saying you can have a gpu and a reasonable one at that, at least it smashes intel hd and well rivals an xbone but graphics horsepower isnt everything.

Well its up to you to decide whether this is needed in your life, for many people its pointless but for many others its amazing.

Take in mind i could easily ram this gpu in a system with a 220w(or higher) psu and be happy that the psu can handle it.

Buy a LN2 pot and solder all the power connectors to it and get some mad OC on that.

That was a rousing call to battle there.

This is actually a compelling option for some situations when you look at it. I might even invest in one for some fun. And as a coaster, as currently I'm using a post-it note stack, which isn't very good.

At first I thought it was a chinese knock-off

The most common result of insufficient wattage is a paperweight that looks like a PC

And here I thought somebody entirely new was tepping into the GPU market. This would be an upgrade from the card I have now though.

With 640 stream processors at 35 watts with HD 7770 performance, signal that AMD is moving to more power efficient and higher performance cards? Kinda sounds like when the 750 Ti came out, so I hope the same comes out of this.
