Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

my friend revived his really old LGA775 socket pc by adding a motherboard and gpu. he needed this basic gpu as his mobo only has vga port and he wants to connect the tv to pc, there weren't much options with the motherboard so he got local branded one, he just wants it for normal stuff (no gaming) for that gpu is alright. His PC was turning off when booting at first in windows then i suggested him several things and finally found out the one ram stick was faulty, he has 4*2gb sticks, ddr3 is dirt cheap nowadays so he can easily upgrade to 8gb (total) sadly no support for 8gb sticks on this board.

Big thanks again to @LeSnakk for buying it for me via Amazon. This means that I can now finally complete my Desktop PC:

And I've also received the Uncle Linus Water bottle and 2023 Sticker Pack which was missing from my last LTT Store Order:

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

Just over a year after purchasing the case, I finally got the chrome feet which I've been wanting since the beginning as well as the handle I've been toying with getting. Once the last two parts come in later this week I'll finally call this iteration complete.

Something I find kind of amusing is that at every step of the way, there's been a 69 in the cost of this case.

Went thrifting yesterday. Unfortunately they didn't have a lot of interesting stuff, but I found a few books, got 'em for a buck each.

image.thumb.jpeg.19a9c80dbbac4d7e2d021e55d223dc56.jpeg

Anyone who went to a German language school will be familiar with these little yellow books, they're by a publisher that specializes in literary classics either written in or translated to German, so they can be found in schools a lot since they're typically fairly cheap.

The translated titles are:

  • Fyodor Dostoevsky - Poor Folk

  • Fyodor Dostoevsky - White Nights

  • Gottfried Keller - A Village Romeo and Juliet

  • Gustav Meyrink - The Golem

  • Plato - The Apology of Socrates and Critio

  • Friedrich Schiller - William Tell

Edit: Fixed image, thanks for the notice @CommanderAlex

And the second addition to the ol' PC. Still have to dial in the fan curve a bit since I'm using the PCH as the reference temp since it's going to be the closest, but these will greatly help keep my bottom SSD cooler.

And a 2nd MB300, in good condition this time

still remember the TI89ti, when i started engineering school, it was an extreme expense to buy such a calculator as a student.

and i think mine was used mostly for Tetris, and bomberman.

Yup.

Didn't include it but I also still have my original 89 from back then, with a slightly damaged LCD sadly.

Nice collection you’ve got.

Wild to think that inside the 89 and 92, beats a heart very similar to a Macintosh 128k or Atari ST. I spent a lot of my middle and high school years programming Ti-BASIC on my 83-Plus, and am starting to translate some of my programs over to the 89 series.

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB

Last week I got a call from my ISP saying that I can either keep my current plan at a lower rate, or upgrade to gigabit for the same price I'm currently paying. I opted to upgrade, but I needed a new Modem for that speed, so I picked up a Motorola MB8600:

I got a similar "upgrade" but it was actually a downgrade. Yes download was faster, but half the upload, 3 times the ping and no more real IPv4 🙄 Told them to pound sand and get me back on the original.

Since eating healthy is among the most important factors to health, and it's something i completely disregarded my whole life, i decided to try HelloFresh. I'm not nearly creative enough when it comes to cooking to come up with anything similar myself.  The package should arrive today, really looking forward to cooking tonight. Still haven't decided what do cook first 🤔

If anyone is interested here are the english translations: (just used picture to text translation, so it might be a bit off)

Top left: Pork salmon steak with fresh tarragon butter with potato wedges and Romana tomato salad

Top middle: Spaghetti with paprika cream sauce & pine nuts

Top right: Pulled chicken in curry cream sauce with kohlrabi and cashew topping

Bottom left: Beetroot gnocchi with shredded chicken with Zucchini, sunflower seeds and cream horseradish

Bottom middle: Rosemary deer steak with onion demi-glace, in addition pointed cabbage and triplets whipped in butter

Bottom right: Hearty goat cheese thalers on a colorful salad with carrots, kohlrabi and honey mustard dip

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

My PDA arrived, DOA sadly and didn’t respond to any attempts at repair.

Its SRAM technology so there’s a chance the memory cannot be revived in any way.

I’ll keep trying some other things though.

So I got a different, used and working PDA and the worst modern processor ever made.

Big dump. New ram and spare pump for me. Almost the rest of the parts for the wife's pink and white build.

And new pads for my headphones. One of them is starting to come apart.

Just have to get her graphics card now when I can stomach a $2000 bill. She's staying on my spare 3070ti for now.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
