The one I have now is a decent kenwood KX series but this is more than a few steps up 

Heck ya! That is a solid unit. Especially with some good quality tapes and quick clean of the head. Makes me want to invest in another unit or put some money into a few of the ones I have to get belts replaced and re-lubricate some of the components

Found this pair of Optimus XTS 25 bookshelf speakers at the thrift store today, new in box for $15 US. They are made by Tandy for RadioShack back in 1993 so 30 years old!

 

So far love the way they look and sound paired with a small Coby computer sub. Perfect for old MIDI playback, plus they are magnetically shielded so I can use them next to a CRT!

There exists a few engineering samples of the i3 7360x, they were making them, or at least intending too and got pretty far with development. A few of them showed up on aliexpress last year and if I could find one I absolutely would use one, a dual core on x299 would probably be the worst possible processor.

 

An unlocked Kaby lake dual core is pretty close imo though, end goal is to make the worst semi modern pc possible, either swapping boards to do rx 460 crossfire or going with the gtx 1630

Does have a bit of burn-in but not too noticeable on characters
