Got a z590 dark, 32gb of ram and an i9 11900k from a forum user on here, gonna put together a decent modern build again soon

ordering a NH D15 Chromax, fractal design torrent compact, and probably some superflower 1000w+ psu but I haven’t decided on that

 

Probably gonna go with a 24gb Quadro M6000 if I can find one at a decent price, my use cases being 

-single core performance

-tons of video ram

and not much else, SecondLife needs the best single core performance possible and it can use as much video memory as you can throw at it, so not really balanced as the m6000 is basically a 980ti, but it fits my needs 

 

I already got some flak for going with this and not a 12900k but this combo cost less than a 12900k alone so the price was too good to pass up

i thought it would bother me, until i looked at my old phone with it's 256GB storage and found it wasn't even close to using half of it.

 

All my data hoarding is mostly on my NAS, so i don't really need that much storage on my phone. as long as it can hold my 6000ish main song library (which isn't my full library) then i'm happy.

Closer Acoustics OGY and REL T5X. The disappointing Klipsch RP600M made me do this! The OGY are the tiniest transmission line speakers, they use full-range EMS LB5 drivers. No cross-over to muck the mids.

Rtx 3060 and a set of sleeved cables for my rm850x

and a matching 30$ eps cable because I needed two and the kit only comes with one, thanks Corsair

after this it’s time to spend 200$ on fans and a fan hub but I’m gonna wait on that 

 

oh and I still need SSDs, though I think I’m just gonna yoink the crucial P5’s out of my thinkpad p50 and put something smaller in there

These work pretty good, they sell versions that also split out RGB signals along with fan signals.

I bought a sus. Used UM325UA, Ryzen 7 5700U, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 13" FHD OLED display. Just couldn't bear my XPS 2in1 7390 anymore, while it's physically great the performance and quirks, especially power management/battery life are infuriating.

 

First AMD machine so wish me luck - but so far no issues and performance is extreme, that 1.15kg 15W TDP ultralight pretty much matches my 250W overclocked 5960X desktop. It's extremely snappy, everything's 2-3x faster than the XPS while using a fraction of the power..

3060 was gonna take 2 weeks to get here after Amazon updated the shipping eta, so I cancelled and went with Newegg, and took it as an opportunity to just get a 3070ti

back order til the 24th but since I’m close to their Indy terminal I should get it way sooner

Soft cables, because the stock Corsair cables are too firm

still this damn hard drive cage makes this a pain in the ass, non removable btw

but it does look way better

and yes I know my aio is wonky, the hoses don’t rotate 360°, they’re not long enough to bottom mount, I can’t turn the aio or the hoses hit other things 

really I just need a 280mm aio but that can wait

They do make mattresses and they make cushions. Could be either. Looks like it has a sheet on it.

The cover is just so dirt/debris doesn't get in the cushion, and so you can wash the exterior.  I dare say, this is of the caliber that would allow you to sit on hardwood bleachers for hours and not feel discomfort.

 

Don't get me wrong, the existing cushioning in my chair is fine for a couple of hours.  But this is next-level comfort.  The ability to fold limbs under my seating position without them falling asleep, or to recline so my tailbone and lumbar is on the cushion and my feet propped up--all without losing feeling or having discomfort from pressure points--that's a huge win.

 

Maybe someday I'll look into their mattresses too.  I'm still loving my Jamison for now.
