Second hand but all seems good so far..£55 pounds posted

I have some HD4.40's and they are the best headphones I have owned ever. Best audio quality at least I have owned and they are Bluetooth on top of that.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Say hello to ChadCalc, my new Ti-nSpire CX II CAS!

Spoiler

I lost my Ti-84+ so my parents got me this as a replacement/very early birthday present.

I was going to install ndless but accidentally updated to 5.3.2.129 which doesn't support ndless yet. Hopefully it does at some point because I do want to run DOOM on my calculator.

@Schnoz any tips on things I can shove on it without ndless?

These 579s are amazing.  I've owned a lot of cheaper headphones over the years and a couple of expensive gaming headsets.  These knock them all out the park for consumption.  There's a little tiny bit of 'pop' or 'crackle' in quiet parts at 96kHz but no harshness or anything

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

Razer BlackShark V2 X ... a gift for my brother.

He just spent $30 on a no-name Amazon "gaming headset" because we always had hard time hearing him through his cheap earbuds, but turns out the cheap Amazon gaming headset is actually worse and keeps cutting off all the time! 🤣

Ended up buying one of these yesterday and they fully sent that mf to the store because it arrived in just under 24 hours lmao. So far I've only got two complaints:

  1. You can't dim the buttons. Really minor but still.
  2. The display doesn't have a "passive" always-on mode. I was really hoping I'd be able to see the readout at all times without turning the backlight on but sadly that is not the case. The only options are to press a button and wake it up or just have the poor backlight on all the time.

Also bought a two-pack of Duracell 2032's because the probably 15 year old one I've been using in my desktop died at some point in the last 3-4 months.

Bought high cargo capacity vehicle cuz I was feeling the lack with my sports car.  10 years old.  100k miles.  Surprisingly good condition despite that.  (It's a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 Trail Rated™, if the badging isn't clear)

Am I the only one who bought into the Ergotron hype some time ago?  I have like 3 different Ergotron monitor arms.  They're great, but they're expensive and in hindsight I don't know if they're worth the price.  Probably the same situation as Aeron chairs...

I looked at the Ergotron arms as well as the Humanscale ones. If I was using them in a situation where I was moving my screens a lot I'd gladly go for the Ergotrons but to be honest even the Invision ones are a bit excessive for my actual use case of "two monitors side by side" that will almost never be moved

The Humanscale ones are gorgeous but £530 to accommodate two 27" 8kg monitors which seems a bit...steep.

I'm a huge ergonomic chair evangelist but my preference has always been for Humanscale over Herman Miller. We have Mirras at work which are nice enough by I much prefer my Freedom task chair...so much I'm actually getting it recovered in nubuck!

I finally found an iK42 Power Amplifier for sale somewhat close to me.

She'll spit out a full 5kW across all 4 channels at once, or 10kW over 2 channels bridged. I no longer have power issues.

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

I assume those are burst ratings?

Isn't a power amp limited by the max wattage that can be drawn from the outlet?

Been a while (less than a month maybe)

But I have bought this

DSC_0686.thumb.JPG.558fa2b3c6435a01abfd0489de0bbc11.JPG

5m HDMI extension, now I can resume watching anime on my projector

Looking to buy DP extension too, so I can setup my bedside setup again, we'll see how it goes

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

First gpu from this seller broke in shipping due to not enough packing material. So of course the replacement they send me is packed in a huge box with bubble wrap and paper, and it’s in a plastic bag literally mummified with plastic wrap.
