For all those with endless disposable income - Craigslist for the one percent

Misanthrope

Here's what the secret Craigslist for the one percent looks like

2014-07-16-image-5.png

It doesn't looks like much quite honestly, sorta took me back to CLI days in the early 90s were this kind of thing was a lot more common place but if it looks like this is because of the added security measures:

POSH is described as a Craigslist for the rich. It can only be accessed through the Bloomberg Terminal, a trading and research service that is used to analyze the financial markets in real-time.

Not only that but it also have subscription model and oh boy you really will be unable to find common folk paying this much to sell used matresses here:

The service is offered via subscription model which will set you back a cool $24,000 annually.

So now we know where does Linus goes shopping for used Lambos, you know it doesn't HAS to be brand new, youtube money ain't what it used to be. It would be awesome however, if he was to send em a proposition for sponsoring a few videos for LTT, I can already imagine the add integration of Linus talking about the advantages of this service for all his Rolex trading viewers!

Oh oh! So you mean products that fell off of the delivery trucks, were damaged in the process but were donated to someone by a wealthy person! And the person it was donated to has to let it go because of this economy! :D

Why yes of course!

Also another point is that a lot of people might not be 1%ers but certainly like to keep appearances and pretend they are, I'm sure the service is discrete enough that not everybody will have to find out about your icky used Ferrari that still has 1 meter long hairs on the floor from when John Romero used to own it.

You can find all of this stuff on the regular Craigslist. Or any buy and sell for that matter.

Some of it's actually very reasonably priced. $45,000 Porsche isn't really a "1%" kind of thing. Hell, my parents car cost more than that.

Top 1% don't even own stuff that is that cheap.  Top 1% own boats in their millions not 10 of 000's

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

In that list the only two things I could see a 1%er owning are the R8 (maybe...it's pretty old. There's a lot of those on CL here) and the Patek Phillipe.

To be honest I think whether they would own them or not is kinda moot, they wouldn't waste there time selling them like this,  it'd be like you or I putting an old PSU on ebay for $1. It's just not worth the effort.

Haha, very true. When you're spending $15,000+ on flights I don't think you'll be trying to sell off a $50,000 watch.
