  1. Brilliant, thank you! Do they have diminishing returns after a certain length? I've found a 20m cable which doesn't cost much more than the 15m version and looks like it'll do the trick
  2. I'll be buying an LG CX TV for downstairs soon and would like to be able to play some games on it as well but my PC is upstairs (on the same side of the house but not the room above). What's the best way to go about this? Ideally I'd have a wired connection since I'd like to run ethernet to that point anyway but I do have a Steam Link - I haven't used it for years and don't remember the latency being very good. It's probably 10 to 15m travel within the walls from my office to living room and I can't seem to find an HDMI 2.1 to cover that distance. If going with the wire
  3. Thanks, the 3600 is a little older than I'd like and I'm happy to spend a little more for the performance gain the 10600k gives. True that RAM is slightly better but it's ugly. Is CL18 to CL16 really much of a difference though? I can't see any benchmarks that give noticeable performance improvement for going above 3600MHz in games. In terms of core count for Warzone 6c/12t is at the top of benchmarks I've seen, with anything more not giving any additional benefit. I'm not too fussed about the motherboard so maybe a good shout, I wanted to have a concrete CPU choi
  4. Hi all, My 3770k is showing its age and I'm looking at an upgrade. The 10600k is going for £200 now which looks tempting, am I going to see a noticeable performance increase in games? I'd be pairing it with a Z490 board and 16GB 3600MHz CL18, the rest of my build would be the same as below. Games-wise I play CoD Warzone, Cyberpunk, RDR2 at 1440p 144Hz (not that I can reach that frame rate often)
  5. So I've tried everything I can see online, hardware acceleration on/off, reinstalling the browser (Chrome) clearing cache/cookies... So far none of that worked apart from watching in a different browser and I've just found that enabling my 3rd monitor fixes it as well. I'll usually have my 1st and 2nd monitor enabled but occasionally use my 3rd. With just 2 monitors on I drop frames even at 144p whereas with my third one enabled I don't drop a single frame at 4k. Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix it?
  6. What's the benefit of fitting the 4-pin as well then? I'm planning on overclocking the 10600k as much as possible.
  7. I'm getting this motherboard for my new work rig but I'm unsure of how to power it... There's the usual 8-pin CPU socket at the top of the motherboard but there's also a 4-pin socket and I can't find a power supply with a 2x2-pin connector. Any help would be great, thanks!
  8. Would it be worth waiting for Gen 4 PCI-e or getting this while it's so cheap? I wasn't planning to upgrade for 6 months or so but this deal seems too good.
  9. You reckon to sacrifice IPS for 165Hz and GSync? Thoughts on something like the MG279Q?
  10. Thanks but looking for something to be as good or better than my PB278Q 1440p or higher, don't mind 16:9 or 21:9
  11. So I've just broken my beloved ASUS PB278Q, it was fantastic apart from slight backlight bleed. I use it 50/50 for gaming and media consumption and am wondering what monitor to go for next or whether to get a TV. I feel terrible even considering a TV but with the amount of backlight bleed I see on IPS panels these days I wonder whether it's worth the risk. Any help would be great, thanks!
  12. BxActions - I've been using this for a while and you can bind single press, double press and long press to different actions, e.g. opening applications, camera, calendar, email.
  13. It seems that Windows loads in the background as I can hear Windows sounds when things load. Also my LEDs change colour when the CAM software loads which they are doing but I still have a black screen with Windows Logo and spinning dots... I've tried startup repair as well but can't completed it because Windows is saying my password is incorrect.
  14. Out of the blue I restart my PC now can't get passed the Windows Logo and the spinning circle of dots... When I restarted it didn't say anything about uodates. Also the cursor changes in to a hand in certain locations as if I can click on things but all I'm seeing is the black screen with the Windows Logo and loading circle.
  15. The hardware will last much longer, I believe it's the orbit they're thrown in to will only last 6 years before re-entry.
