Linus/LTT have 80 RTX 3080s now for some reason?

IAMABOSS

i hope linus comes up with a way to verify, there will be so many orders, it would take days to review them all, i know linus is doing a good deed, spending his money for overpriced gpus to sell them at less than what he bought them for, shows how good some youtubers actually are

From the sticker: TUF-RTX3080-O10G-GAMING, 5 per box I think (you can see there's 5 bar codes).

I'm in Quebec, I want one!!! haha I guess no tariffs if you're in Canada. And maybe only 5% GST since LTT is out of my province.

You'd get taxed at the rate of your province, not the province it comes from.

This difference from what I understand is Linus is going to "sell" these at cost for no profit at all.

If the scalpers were selling them at cost I wouldn't care if they did it either, but they are ramping up the prices to turn a profit.

MSRP, not cost. Those are two different things.

not even the half of it. prepare your butts for after it's over and the forum gets flooded with people who didn't win saying it's unfair, or asking when the next one is.

To the best of my knowledge no one is selling new GPU's at cost or below MSRP.

Make us link our Steam accounts  🙂

Good luck all, looks like maybe 80 to 200 cards if more are still coming in, and about a million folks wanting them.

Better odds than Best Buy at least,

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

Speaking of mining, maybe Linus should do a burn-in test on the cards, I don't know ... maybe 1-2 months worth of burn in test 😛

From official sites (direct nvidia fe purchase) or retailers? They're never in stock here and those that are, such as an rtx 3080, goes for 2045 euro.

let's just say I get to solve the quiz (after a few retries) and the thing just looped indefinitely. I thought it was my ad blocker and so I refreshed it

LET'S JUST SAY THAT'S GONNA BE MY BIGGEST REGRET OF THIS YEAR.

Hard to say for sure.  Seriously starting to doubt LTT's street creds.  Especially since the mining videos started.  Even the promo pics for the videos are starting to look looney tunes.  Drugs?  Alcohol? Cognitive dissonance?....who knows....but it all looks pretty crazy from here.

I guess it is pretty hard to sell a unicorn.  Probably nothing in those boxes but a bunch of air.

Anything that isn't on store shelves doesn't really exist....including crypto currency.

and now?

If that happened, Linus' and LMG's image would be destroyed.

Has this happened yet?  I don't know if I'm the "perfect" candidate because I've got a somewhat competent rig already and I am mining on it and I would mine on a 3080 too but I AM a gamer.

If I got one at MSRP I'd probably sell or lend my 2080s to a friend who is currently building a new machine to replace his 6700k/980ti sff build.  I've tried to talk him out of sff and water cooling but he won't listen and is doing both (*oh and he's going intel for some unknown reason, availability and sff friendliness I guess and he's an Intel fanboy).  Anyways if someone could let me know.

If not I understand, mine does everything I need it to for my resolution at 90fps or so except for being able to RT at respectable frames

*edit: I don't watch the WAN show, just not a podcast fan

*full transparency, if it wasn't for the added income from mining I wouldn't buy a 3080 at MSRP

*at the very least I'd like to vouch for my friend to get one at MSRP
