The perfect card for the gamer girl - Yeston Sakura 6800XT/3070 announced

williamcll

The GPU market is really disappointing design wise. You have gamer-tech look or this over the top Waifu design. How about just a solid color. All-Black setup with a Signal red GPU as the highlight of the System? Obviously you can‘t provide X colors of each model an only manufacturing a red GPU will Limit possibly buyers. A man can dream though.

Just all black card with RGB logo of whatever brand. That would be totally awesome. Like all black card and RGB logo of ASUS. So you can set it to whatever color you want. Black can fit basically anywhere. ASUS TUF is sort of close, but I'm not usre if logo is RGB...

This one looks elegant, contrasting some of the stereotypically obnoxious anime designs we've seen.  I like it!

I agree with many of the people on this thread, though.  This is a niche product, especially in a market where MSI Armor and ASUS Strix exist and are popular.

Sorry for the mess!  My laptop just went ROG!

is anyone going to make a joke about gamer girls not existing

Not I.  Many of them are tired of hearing it.  The humor is in the modern-day absurdity of the claim, of course, but you can beat just about anything to death, and this joke is no exception.

My argument is that this joke HAS been beaten to death, to be clear.  Hearing this a lot can be discouraging and push girls out of gaming, which is not what anyone wants.  Games are supposed to be fun for anyone who wants to play them!

I think his description is closer to the Vega Frontier Edition or Vega VII designs, with varying colors. Maybe the XFX Ghost if you push it.

even still, the reference designs have always been tame in my opinion and there's not much to complain about in terms of wanting a "simple" design

I wasn‘t very clear - that‘s on me. I personally meant a solid red card (shroud and backplate) like the Gigabyte and ASUS white versions; just in red. Or any color you fancy. Just as an accent in the build. Would fit nicely with an all white or black system.

My my apartment is mostly black/grey and my lounge chair is bright red for example. It‘s the only „real“ color you‘ll see in here, lol.

Gigabyte has "Vision" series that are very sterile, in white and silver. Almost like Radeon VII.

A picture of an anime girl for a gamer girl? Wouldn't a gamer girl rather want a hot guy on it instead? The logic doesn't make sense to me here; this is more like a card for the gamer boy instead.

Yeah that was the first thing I thought of. Granted maybe the ascetic of the girly white, purple and blue would not match with a hot anime guy.

I just want them to create a graphics card that will match the color of my brown nactua fans. Honestly I think all computer components should be brown to match my fans.

I’m not sure at all that this was designed “for women”.  I think it’s for a very specific market, and that market may not be women.  I don’t know. Might be a certain kind of person from a specific country.  I’m not 100% gender is involved in that one though.

From a design standpoint this has a real 90’s feel to it.  It’s got a lot of traditionally female imagery, notably flowers,  but there was a whole bunch of pushback of “feminine” stuff even in the 90’s. It risks looking like “what a man thinks a woman might want”.  There was a traditional concept of what a “ladies gun” was.  Notice the “was”.  It didn’t hold up.  This is old news in design circles.  Not a mistake I see a designer making. The thing looks.. strange to me.  If there’s anything about it that happens to appeal to western female gamers I suspect it is coincidental

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
