LTT! How did you f** * this up?

ADHaxious

Just watched the new video about Zen3.

https://youtu.be/iZBIeM2zE-I

3600x launch price was $250

5600x is $300

20% price increase for 20% performance. In midrange, value for money matters. How did you make this mistake?

We expect better performance for the money when a new gen comes out. Imagine how much people would moan if intel increased the price by 10% every generation for 10% more performance. If 3080 cost $1400 because it is 30% more powerful than $1100 2080ti.

Just a reminder for everyone that AMD is not your pal. They would and will rip people off if they got a chance like Nvidia or Intel.

Damn, okay.

But everyone should always take the performance numbers as fact, but verify them with other reviewers, check out the specs yourself and then make up your own mind.

And of course, AMD is just another company in the sea of companies, not the consumer's pal.

Well In my country even though the new Zen3 ryzen 5000 cpus are available the retailers aren't going to lower the prices of their remaining 3700 stock, will they do it like after a few months ?. And BTW in most places like Europe and Asia due to taxes, the price of the 5600 is going to be more than 300 USD. I think now its intel's time to shine by doing something like every 11th gen rocket lake CPU is overclockable (that won't happen, intel needs that money), but like with the new gen CPUs AMD is trying to milk as much profits as they can, so if Intel takes advantage and can do some magic with their 14nm Process node, then voila, Intel will become the budget king i.e. most consumers.

Because AMD has passed intel in gaming performance AND Multicore/synthetics, AMD is no longer the "value option". They're the performance option and can demand the price they charge now.

If you want value, the i9 9900k is $299 at Microcenter, or buy last gen Ryzen.

Yes but I don't suspect they'll keep doing it every generation.

Also damn when you create a forum account just bc that's how afraid you are your youtube comment will get buried.

They made a mistake and I pointed it out. 3600x was not $300 like the video said. That is the wrong information. Figured they would want to fix their wrong info so posted here because as you said, Youtube comment would probably go unnoticed.

Yeah... Intel and Nvidia does it: bad

AMD does it as the first thing as soon as they get an edge in more than a decade: good.

Favoritism from AMD fanboys stink.

Producing CPU's or any kind of hardware is expensive. It need's to make money.

They arent opening companys just so you can have new things cheap.

They all have tens of thousands of workers, intel has over 100k workers.

How are they gonna get paychecks and provide food for their family if companys dont get certain profit per product they sell.

Each year it cost's more to pay enginners that make the cpus, gpu's etc,it cost's more to pay materials to make new things

This is the first generation where they have the performance to be able to charge what they want, and not label themselves as the "budget" option. From what I'm seeing from reviews, Intel has become the budget option.

Before you say favoritism and fanboy to me, look at my build.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
